I actually got this for myself, a 34 year old autistic adult! I love it! It has been nice to have a screen free way to distract my hands and brain, and allow me to reset my emotions.My 3yo would also probably enjoy it, but I haven't shared it with her yet.The little "ropes" are silicone strings. I thought they may have wire in them or something that made them stiff, but they do not. They're floppy. Having a bag for it all is nice, too.Only thing that's a slight negative, if you flex the board AT ALL then the strings pop out. Annoying if you're trying to draw a pattern and the board isn't on a hard surface, but not a problem.

This is a nice product with varies textures. The "ropes" for nicely in the crevices and allow for hours of fidgeting and creative enjoyment. The labyrinth isn't a true labyrinth as it has multiple ways to reach the center. The silicon material is soft and adds to the comfort of the texture. This will see a lot of use.

I think if this was bigger it would be appropriate for my elderly mom with Alzheimers. But honestly it makes her frustrated because it is too small. Perfect for small people with fidgeting issues but please know that you should always moniter childer who also may bite and chew the silicone pieces!

I have been ordering some sensory toys for my little grandson who uses them in therapy. This sensory board is a bit challenging for him currently but I feel that it is definitely helping him. I have noticed that when he plays with it he does seem to exhibit a lot of focus which is something that he struggles with. The board itself is very sturdy and since it includes 12 strings it keeps him plenty busy. Very pleased with it.
