It's an "OK" capri pant but it's not very flattering if you have any type of love handles going on. I'm 5'2'' and weigh 133lbs. I'm pretty fit overall but could have tighter abs, lol. I ended up returning these and went with the ALORO swim shorts w/skirt as it was a much better fit for me.

I was on the border between two sizes, and was worried about the waist being too loose if I went with the larger of the two, so I went with the smaller... this doesn't have much forgiveness, so it is really tight getting it up over my hips, then it fits to my waist nicely.The length of the leggings part is such that they wanted to get caught on my thick calves, and pull down on everything above... I had to ease them up over my knees, and once they were where they belong, the bottoms settled in to place, but I wasn't as comfortable as I hoped, again I have thick thighs, and this doesn't have a huge amount of stretch or forgiveness, so I think that's part of the issue I'm hitting.The waist fits nicely, if a touch loose, so I'm worried if I sized up the waist would be too loose.All of that said, with regards to the fit, these look better on than I expected... short skirt over leggings isn't really my style, but this fits like a second skin and has nice movement to it, with the skirt not just adding some fashion, but covering a multitude of sins I'd rather not share with the world.I'm taking this with me on vacation as a backup for if anything happens to my first choice bottoms, or if they are still wet when I want to swim again... not a first choice, but definitely worthy and nice.I think if you are thinner / more muscular than I am, several of my issues wouldn't effect you. Then again, I got these with hopes swimming could be part of an exercise plan, so maybe in time they'll fit me better.
