sturdy, bought it for draining single servings of spaghetti (3-4 oz dry) and it does that well - some ends can slip thru, but none has ever fell out. Great mini colander.

I got these because of Food TV. I saw people using them to take things out of water and fat.What I have discovered is they are awesome strainers and take up much less room in the dishwasher than any colander. I use them for veggies, small portions of anything that I steam or boil.When it comes time to clean them, I just stack them on the top rack of the dishwasher. Because they are stainless steel, no rusting.My new favorite tool.

An absolute steal for the quality of this set. They are not as firm as the picture looks, but they are still quite sturdy. A definite recommend.

These things are great for fishing things out of hot oil. They have a easy to grip handle and it is very rigid all the way to the basket so there's no sagging. The basket itself is also very stable so there's very little chance of dropping the item you're scooping up.A very satisfying purchase,

These spider strainers are quite useful, and this set of 3 different sizes is a good deal. The space between the wires is small enough to pick up smaller things, but lets oil or broth pass through without waiting. I would use these to remove fried items from oil, or larger items from cooking broth. But I would not use these to skim homemade bone broth.The handles are on the lighter side, and they're a little rough at the points where the tube attaches to the wires. The hanging hole allows water to accumulate inside the tube part of the handle, so I needed to shake them to allow them to dry out after washing.The points of the wire are also a little rough. Specifically, the points on the side where the wire meets the rim of the basket, and the final piece of the spiral at the center of each basket. Not really a big deal for me, as it won't affect my usage. But it could have been finished better.

Very disappointed with this purchase, I expected better quality after reading reviews. Ive used the large one and very weak and too flexible, I dont see this lasting me many more uses, it cant scoop pasta out very well at all without twisting, unlike many other spider strainers I have. I dont recommend this at all, it looked like a good deal as you receive 3 but not worth it.
