This was bought to add to my tool box for those rare times I really wished I had something like this. Therefore it is untested but I have some observations that might help. It seems sturdy and well built.I wish there was a better way to auger out a hole in the wood with a well fitting handle, but I went inexpensive so I guess I cant complain. However, I do worry a little bit about if an impromptu handle does fit well enough if there would be a risk of the eye bending out of true round. It's a very hard metal, so I believe it should be fine as long as I am close to the size.Lastly, the eye isn't as sharp as I expected. However, never having owned one before, I don't know if that is actually normal. It may rely more on the splitting than the cutting of things into round. When I eventually use it, I figured I can always file it to a better edge if needed.

This thing works great. It’s really durable and easy to use. If you don’t like holding on, just to that you can stick anything through it that’s sturdy enough to handle.

got this for when me and my brother when we went camping it was super easy to use after you clear the bark away! we made that bench in probably 20-30 mins tops definitely worth every penny!!!
