I ordered to use as a dress up trunk for my girls. I'm ordering 2, though haven't placed the second order yet. I'll update if 2nd is different, but I love it. I'm picky about gifts for my kids because I want things to be just right.I needed sturdy because my girls are 6 and 4. This trunk will definitely hold up to them I think (we'll see though lol).I also wanted something with character. Something that, like the content it will hold, will make them WANT to play. Something that matches their personalities and that they could grow with. The pink of the trunk (brighter than in the picture cause of my camera) is beautiful for my youngest. Fun even.I was a little worried about the inside before I bought, but nothing seems to stick out as I worried. You can see where nails are but nothing breaks through. So clothes, wigs, and kids will be good.The only thing that I don't like (more personal than a real problem) is the center button lock. It's a good one, but the button is hard for me to push. So I know for sure it will be with them. So if for younger kids you'll need to not close that part. But if it's to keep out younger kids it'll be perfect. Plus side of the lock though it came with 3 keys.

This is the most adorable item in my house...well besides me! jkI so love this footlocker/trunk that I am going to buy more in different shapes. This holds so much crap and clears up more space than I ever imagined! The fact that it locks and you can add your own lock is just grand! Of course, it is not heavy duty like the older ones from back in the day but it is sturdy and a beauty to look at! If you are looking for something in this line than look no further! This is it! It is good for oh so many things and more then I can even think of. You won't regret it.

The trunk was the size and look I wanted it to be. Seems to be fairly sturdy, however, I was very disappointed with the inside quality. The screws were pushing up against the particle board in every single instance, making the inside look cheap and of poor quality. So bad, in fact, that I ended up lining the inside of the trunk with papers to make it more appealing visually. The locking mechanism and 'keys' provided are cheap and bend and I will never use them. We purchased a regular lock to go through the latch and that works well. The handle is plastic and is in danger of breaking if carried with a load. The hinges are weak and we feel the top could break right off quite easily. Our plan it so place it close to a wall so that when it opens up it will be supported. I don't think this will be a long lasting purchase, however, it serves the need we have for it now, which does not involve lifting and carrying by the handle. I was pleased with the outside appearance, but quality and inside appeal is not to a high standard.

I bought this trunk a few months ago. What you see is what you get. The quality is great, very sturdy and nice looking. Very spacious and durable.I recommend this product.
