I have a large sewing basket that I keep my embroidery things in, but I wanted something separate that I could use for my EPP quilting supplies. I was on the fence about which size to choose. I’d started out just wanting something small and compact but when I saw this, I admit I was tempted by the larger one. In the end I stuck to my plan to order a small sewing box. I’m glad I did because this one is just right to hold all my supplies, but small enough to make it convenient to grab and go. I plan to use it in the car on road trips and while sitting waiting on the kids to get out of practice.I chose the blue which is kind of a purple-blue or dark periwinkle color and it’s really pretty. The tray is plastic but it’s sturdy, and the handle rotates easily and feels secure. I like the magnetic tab on the lid. It opens and closes easily but holds firmly.I had forgotten that it would come with sewing supplies so that was a pleasant surprise. There’s a generous assortment of all the things you might need in a sewing basket. This would make a cute gift for someone just learning to sew, quilt, or embroider.
