The PEX-A tubing roll protects against kinking and features the highest rated flexibility, allowing for easy bending around corners, longer runs, and faster installation with fewer connection points. The PEX-A pipes expand and contract as water freezes within the pipe making PEX-A pipes more resistant to burst pressure in freezing temperatures. The flexibility of PEX-A pipes allows the end to be fluted prior to inserting the fitting to accommodate expansion style fittings which provide less flow restriction and can increase water pressure where needed. Composed of strong and sturdy plastic polymer, this plastic hose tubing is built to last, features a 3 month UV resistance, and is the highest rated for chlorine resistance. Perfect for potable hot and cold water lines, this PEX-A piping is approved for use with PEX expansion (F1960), push to connect (ASSE 1061), plastic crimp (ASTM F2159), and brass crimp (ASTM F1807) fittings. These PEX-A coils feature a minimum working temperature of 33 degrees F at 160 PSI, a maximum working temperature 200 degrees F at 80 PSI, and a maximum working pressure is 160 PSI at 33 degrees F to 70 degrees F.

We got the red and blue for our plumbing as we did emergency repairs. This is a great way to keep the maze of waterlines easily identifiable if you're dealing with replacing older and less organized plumbing. Easy to cut and flexible.

The rolls are IMPOSSIBLE to straighten so it can be used. It's like wrestling a 100 pound Anaconda! horrible. Unusable.

"1/2" is to big to snugly fit most fittings made for "1/2". Despite that (same brand and pipe, just different size) "3/4" fits their fittings perfectly, and so does 1".... Consistency guys....

Nothing wrong with the tubing itself when used with certain fittings. Problem is, the tubing DOES NOT work well for expansion fittings. When the tube is expanded using a manual or automatic expander, it doesn't return back to it's original shape well thus leaving the SharkBite expansion fittings able to rotate and worst of all LEAK! This SharkBite Pex A is supposed to be able to be expanded as advertised on their website but does not expand well like the Uponor brand. Been using Uponor for many years and have not had these issues.
