Assembly was very easy with this stool. I would say the build quality is very sound. Nothing is loose, it doesn’t rock around unbalanced and all the pieces fit together perfectly. I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out at first because of how close the tolerance is while assembling but it’s amazing once you’ve got it all together. The color looks like it belongs on a race car. I haven’t bought a lot of stools so the price is probably on par. The height is adjustable and it adjusts easily with the lever below the seat. It’s comfortable enough to sit on for a while with the non-adjustable backrest. I wish I would have gotten 2 now.

This review is on the shop stool from FreekyFit. The photos show all the individual parts after removing them from the box and with the stool assembled. The listing gives a good overview of this shop stool and the fact that it requires assembly. Everything is pretty well made and the fasteners with rudimentary tools are included for assembly. Except in the stool I received was missing one of the four M6 locknuts (see photos) for attaching the footrest. I would suggest using your own tools to assemble it. Instructions are provided for assembly but it’s a very straightforward process to put it together. Even though it’s clearly stated in the listing and the instructions to leave all the fasteners loose until the stool is completely assembled, I still had difficulty aligning some of the holes while installing the bolts. I ended up using a drift in some of the holes to achieve proper alignment. Once it’s put together you just fully tighten all the bolts while it’s on a flat surface, drop in the cylinder and set the seat on top and you’re done. The stool sits level on the floor and the height adjustment works perfectly. Personally I think the backrest should have a little more resistance or maybe should not move at all when you lean back against it. A person my size ( 6’ 1†225 lbs ) could easily fall over backwards if you were to lean back to much. Although this stool requires a a couple of improvements in my opinion, it’s still a nice shop stool and I would still recommend it!

This is a sturdy garage or shop chair/stool. The steel legs and frame are heavy duty, as is the height adjustment piston. Paint looks well-applied, except it is yellow. Get another color, as yellow will show dirt quickly in a garage environment. I also don't like being greeted with a big yellow sign that says "Freeky Fit" every time I enter my shop. Obnoxious branding and obnoxious color.Regarding another reviewer's comments, the backrest is aligned fine on mine. Regarding assembly, it will be much easier to attach the square leg brace around the four legs if you leave the nuts and bolts loose on the legs so they have some play until you get all the bolts into the holes on the leg brace. I tightened the legs up on mine first and then had to loosen them in order to get the bolts through the square leg brace that surrounds the four legs. Also, grab a ratchet and sockets or even a cordless impact wrench to assemble, as all the nuts are nyloc nuts so cannot be snugged up by hand. Don't waste time trying to use the cheap "wrenches" provided. This chair would be more useful if it adjusted lower. The low position is way too high for sitting at a normal 30-inch high table, and the high position is way too high for any bench unless you are a short child, in which case it would be dangerously high. The mid range of adjustment is fine for a 36-inch high bench, but the chair would be more versatile if it went down lower so it could be used with a 30-inch bench too. No need for it to adjust as high as it does, so the overall length of the height adjustment piston can stay the same.I take off one star for the chair not being capable of adjusting lower, and another star for the obnoxious branding on both the backrest and the frame. Otherwise it's a solid chair.

I love everything about this stool! The yellow color is so vibrant... how I can easily adjust the height... the sturdiness of construction. It was easy to assemble, just follow the instructions that are included. Don't tighten the screws completely as you go, wait until you have them all in place. You may need to adjust the positioning a little in order to get all the screws in the holes. I like how they included all the necessary tools to assemble it too. Now I have to decide if I'm going to use it at my work desk or in my studio. The bright color will definitely make this comfortable work chair a focal point.

First off let me say, I had no problems assembling the stool. All holes and bolts lined up. The stool came with some tools to do the assembly, and it can be done with them, but I would highly recommend using your own tools. If I remember correctly, I use 13mm and 10mm box wrench and 10mm and 14mm socket. Also, I would leave all the nut and bolts loose until all of them are inserted. Once all are in place tighten everything down.Once all was completed, the stool is comfortable and sturdy. The padding in the seat and back is good. The pneumatic height adjustment of the seat is great. The paint job of the stool looked great as well. As with also anything in a workshop, things will get dirty. Just as this stool did during assembly. The good news is that the stool wiped down clean. Now for the reasons that a one-star deduction was given. Although the back of the stool attached solid, it was not straight when mounted. The other thing is moving the stool to a different location. If you lift the stool by the seat, the pedestal and seat will come out of the base. Would have been nice if maybe a set screw or something secured the pedestal to the base. Overall, a nice work stool for my shop.
