I have ordered multiple plants on line that have all arrived safely, looking great and have gone on to thrive. This plant was a mess when it was delivered. It looked like the plant had been pulled out of one pot and placed poorly in a plastic pot to send. The roots were not secured in the soil. The leaves were damaged with holes in them. I tried to repot the plant, but it’s not looking good. Within a couple days. The plant had two dead leaves. Extremely disappointing all the way around. This was supposed to be a going away gift for a colleague because she likes the plant like this in my office. Instead it’s a waste of money and would be very embarrassing to give it as a gift.

I ordered this medium-sized ZZ plant from Amazon, and honestly, I wasn’t sure it stood a chance. It survived a trip from California to Indiana, which is more than I can say for most of my plants. I have a gift for turning green things brown, but this little guy (named Bertrum VanWinkle) seems impervious to my murderous thumb. It arrived looking pretty healthy, and it's still thriving—despite my best efforts to doom it. If this plant can survive me, it can survive anything. Highly recommend if you're looking for a resilient, low-maintenance buddy that won't judge you when you forget to water it for a week (or two).

Box was in good condition, but there was dirt all over when I opened it. The pot, dirt, and base of the plant was wrapped in brown paper and rubber banded around the base of the plant. The brown paper was wet and tearing up, the plant wasn't even in the pot anymore at this point. When I got the paper off, The plant was also rubber banded at the base, I cut that off and a whole leaf with a chunk of roots fell off. I could tell this was a water prop placed in potting soil very, very recently. There was some rot in the rhizomes but not too bad. Looked like some of the roots had rotted off as well. Overall tho, it came fast and was on schedule, plant looks ok from what I can tell at this point. No pests that I could see right away. I repotted the two pieces separately. This was two days ago. I will update after I wait to see if the rough arrival survives.

Just got my plant in and it’s definitely not “8-12 inches†like the description says it is. The pot is 3 inches and the plant itself is maybe 5 inches and there’s no stem on it yet. But that aside, the plant seems healthy and well cared for. Just received it in today so we’ll see how it does. It came wrapped in paper and put in a box. There were a couple ants in the package, but that’s ok. All in all, I’m happy with the purchase.
