I just had a bad experience with an auto cabin air filter from Amazon: too small to give a good filtration. So, I was nervous about this one, but the filter arrived and it was exactly what I needed: if anything, the fit was a bit tight: I had to press hard to get it in the vacuum. But a tight fit is good on an air filter: you don't want stuff getting AROUND it. The vacuum works great again and I am happy, and it was cheap too.One reviewer commented on the smell: my Shopvac ALWAYS smelled horrible when it ran: the new filter did not change that. It is a garage/outdoor vac. If you are using it in the house, you are using the wrong tool for the job. Get a good Sebo or Miele vacuum for indoors, and use Ol' Stinky for garage messes. :-)Great filter!

this is an exact replacement for my shop-vac 5 gallon vac. it was shipped quickly. I got it, put the foam sleeve on it and installed in on my vac. great service, great product. will order again from this supplier. highly recommend them.

It's made by a reputable quality manufacturer that's been around for a long time for a reason, that also makes the Shop-vac it's for. It fits perfectly, holds up incredibly well, is durable enough to be cleaned a few times before needing to replace it. BTW, this fits the best portable home Shop-vac I've ever used - Shop-Vac-5872500, 5-Gallon, 5-5 Peak. Get the 2.5 inch hose for it and you've got yourself the best all-around shop vacuum you can get.

We have an old Shop-Vac Hang Up for our workshop. The cannister hangs conveniently out of the way on the wall, works well, and we've seen no reason to change it out for a later model.For years, I've just been removing the filter occasionally from the ball-float cage, holding it down inside a garbage bag, and banging it sharply against the workbench (Poof!--huge clouds of powdery dirt flies out). This removes much of the dust that accumulates in the filter and keeps it from needing to be replaced more often. This only works for so long before it eventually has to go, though, and I was surprised that the usual replacement filter 903-95 was no longer available this last time (even directly from the Shop-Vac website).Turns out that this 903-98 replacement filter fits even the oldest Shop-Vac Hang Up canisters. Not sure why they changed the number other than there does seem to be a change in the filtering material. It seems to be an improvement because the old filters were of a paper-type material and this new filter is less papery and allows light washing (but be sure to let it dry fully before putting back into ball-float cage).

This Shop Vac was an exact fit to my 15 year old wall mount shop vac. Quality was as good, or better than the original filter. Timely delivery as well. I would order this product again.

My Vacuum was out because it needed a filter. Filter fits perfectly, easy to install. now the vacuum is working perfectly well again

I ordered a basic filter. nothing fancy. It came to my house. Pretty fascinating. what do you think Charles the second would think? I am still amazed that I do not have to leave my home to buy stuff. I would think that the products should cost less than down the street but I do save gas money.

I use this filter with all my dry vacuuming. I use it with a filter bag for drywall and orbital sander dust. Otherwise, it would clog more easily than I have patience for. If it gets clogged when vacuuming coarser material, you can just take it out and knock/scrape the debris off. When I use only the foam sleeve, fine dust gets blown into the air and settles on the stuff in my garage.Product descriptions on amazon.com can be a bit sparse sometimes, but it was fairly easy to find the filter I wanted because the product number matches the one on the ShopVac website. It would have given me some peace of mind if either amazon.com or ShopVac identified this filter as "Type AA", which one would assume was the model number based on its prominence on the packaging.

Der laut liste angegebene Filter ist zu klein, passt also nicht in den Sauger. Schade habe somit keinen Filter muß n ur mit dem Schaumstpff vorlieb nehmen. Blööd.
