It's not rocket science, it's easy to install. Yes I can see where the clips my break over time but there's no reason to keep opening the them once it's installed. Also they give you an additional clip in case one breaks. I did buy the shorter fence and then raised it a couple inches from the ground. The first night the little pooch squeezed underneath so I lowered it. She tried to climb then eventually gave up (because she's old). If you have a puppy I'm sure they'll figure out how to get over the top. This is perfect height for dog and easy to step over for me. I would highly recommend, great price.

This gate is a great idea....but nothing more. It was 2 inches shorter than advertised, and made of "Metal" that was so soft and flimsy that at first I was sure it was really metal at all. No dog will stay behind or out of room due to this gate. Spend a little more and get something better. FYI: Box was damaged badly and the return was a nightmare! :(

This gate has worked great. It keep my small dog out of the room where my cats eat & go Potty. It is made well, just thought the quality could have been better. Had it for several months & it’s still in place. Nothing has broken. I would buy the gate again.

It’s not easy to put together and kinda flimsy but my corgi who can jump onto our tall couch will not try and jump over this.

Worked well until one of the “locks†that hold the bar snapped. Seems cheap for the price. Lasted about a month of fairly decent use

Not sure if it’s a “you get what you pay for†thing or what, but overall this kinda sucks. It’s very flimsy and very cheap, my dog had no problem opening the sliding part (even with the locks they give) and knocking the whole thing down. I bought three of them and they all have the same problems.I eventually figured out how to rig it up with other things I had around the house so they’d (mostly) stay up and keep the sliding door closed, but I shouldn’t have to do that.Overall, you should avoid this unless your dog is very tiny.

I’ve struggled for so long using a piece of cardboard and ducking underneath it after the 260 DOLLAR cat gate I purchased stopped working when my cat learned how to jump over it! So yes… I used cardboard about the same size as this little gate to extend the height of my gate and it worked cause my cat can’t jump that high. But the cardboard was hideous looking! So when I found this after searching ‘cat gate height extender’ on Amazon I saw this gate, I knew it would be perfect. Even though I was hesitant due to some not great reviews I went ahead and bought it anyway and I’m so glad I did :) it was extremely easy to put together and it actually adjusts very snugly against the wall (not flimsy at all) and while I do still have to duck to get underneath it I’m so used to it now that it doesn’t bother me (plus I’m only 4’ 11â€) and it’s very aesthetically pleasing. I don’t have a window in my bathroom so if I shut the door it gets musty and gross and if I leave it open my cat tears up everything while I’m at work (mostly the shower curtain) lol this gate solved all my problems while looking pretty at the same time

Do not purchase if you will need to remove or move that gate. The clicks used to adjust the size will break after a few uses.
