The Shotgun seat does not fit electric bikes, road/gravel bikes, cruiser & step through frame bikes, or older mountain bikes with cables along the top of the top tube.
The shotgun seat has a range of adjustment to fit top tubes from 30 – 68mm wide, and down tubes from 30 – 100mm wide.

I installed this thing on my fat bike and immediately hit the trail with my 4 year old and then switched out to give my two year old a turn. It's rad, the kids love it. From the packaging, ultra clear instructions, seat comfort, etc. I love it, kids love it - win win win. I am a long-time mountain biker and doubly lucky to live in a neighborhood with direct trail access from my front door. This is a stellar way to combine fitness and family time.I looked at the knock-off options that are available for $100 less but do I really want to put my kids on the cheapest hunk of junk and then ride single track? That would be a fun story to tell to my wife when it fails not to mention the potential trauma/impacts it would have on my kid's perception of biking and the outdoors. No thank you. The construction of this thing is rock solid. Was worth the $135 within the first 5-min of cruising down the road with my daughter, the giggles will be remembered for a lifetime.Note that I opted not to get the handlebar add-on. Still on the fence on this. The kids do lean a bit forward to get a comfortable grip on my handlebars and they are gripping bare aluminum. I may toss some roadie grip material on there or just get the kid handlebar attachment... not sure.

The good -- This is a great product. My daughter loves it. She has been riding with me using this saddle since the day she turned 2. Its comfortable for her, and she has never had any problems sitting on it or holding onto the mounted handlebars (purchased separately). It is great for her because she can see everything we are doing. She doesn't get bored because she is staring at my back the whole ride or unable to see surroundings in a chariot-style cart. The path/trail/world is right there in front of here and she has an unobstructed view of everything. She is literally right on top of the action and she loves it.When properly installed, the saddle will stay exactly where you put it no matter how rough the trail gets and your kid will be sitting where you can easily ensure their hands are on the bars, feet in the stirrups, and they are paying attention to what is going on.The bad -- And this only a complaint because the description is misleading. It is pretty much the opposite of "Quick Release." I'm sure whoever wrote the description would argue that, "I didn't say it released quickly, I said it uses a quick-release mechanism to ensure easy and proper installation" Yeah.... riiiight..... there is no reason to even mention this in the description unless you want to give the false impression that it is easy to put on and take off the bike. It is NOT hard to put on and take off the bike, but it does take about +30 minutes to get the setup initially dialed-in depending on your frame, adult riding position with kid, and kid size. After that, taking it off takes 2-3 minutes and putting it back on takes about 5 minutes. These are timeframes I'm more than willing to accept to have my kid along for the ride and get her interested in riding trails.If you don't clean your bike frame before installing this, don't install it securely, or don't regularly remove it and clean your bike, then it might scratch your frame.Ultimately, I'm not willing to dock it a star just because the description might mislead some people, because I think 99% of people that buy this, and actually use it, also won't care about the time needed to put it on the frame or take it off.I would buy this again, have recommended it to many others, and constantly get asked about it when out on rides.

Life with a busy toddler and small baby is challenging. Shotgun seat has opened a completely new world for our bike rides. Our 2 year old absolutely loves riding up front, being able to see and explore the surroundings while I still get a good workout in. I was worried about balance and her ability to react to different situations however it quickly proved me wrong.Easy to assemble, quick to switch between two separate bikes, quality materials offer comfortable rides. Fits well with very little adjustments to different types of bikes.

Excellent product. I have a toddler, two year-old. Impressed by the quality of the frame and the seat. When attempting to use it for the first time I found out my toddler was attempting to pull her feet off of the pegs that she’s supposed to place her shoes in, intelligently designed so that the plastic holster can be adjusted. It allows for a snug fit… five stars all around. Luckily, I am quite handy at putting things together. For those who aren’t they may find assembly a bit challenging, but doable. Again great product five stars well built, include an assembly manual.

We are a mountain biking family. None of us have any real talent. All that being said, my 2 year old daughter loves the seat. The seat is easy to take on and off the bike for any one that is mechanically inclined just a little bit. Tools are not needed to remove from bike and you will be able to adjust the foot pegs easily. Tools are needed for seat adjustment and initial install on a bike. The frame of the seat has a heavy rubber liner that is very sticky and holds on to both aluminum and carbon bike frames very well.We leave the seat on my wife's bike which is a medium size full suspension carbon fiber Liv. The seat fits better on a large frame bike. When riding with my daughter her feet go into the foot pegs and the rubber strap hold them in place nicely. She holds onto the handle bars near the stem and has learned to lean into turns with me as a rider.The seat is expensive for what it is, but watching my daughters enjoyment was worth the price.Initial install 20-25 min including assembly. To transfer from medium frame bike to large frame bike less than 10 min and only 2 tools. The frame is wider on the Large and the seat needs to come off so the allen hex bolt can be loosened to expand the frame. Then the seat is installed again.

Mi aspettavo qualcosa di qualitativamente valido e devo dire che, nonostante le aspettative fossero alte anche a causa del prezzo di questo articolo, il prodotto è meglio di quanto mi aspettassi. Materiali ottimi, logica costruttiva ineccepibile, montaggio non semplicissimo ma realizzabile da chiunque abbia un minimo di dimistichezza con le bici e, tutto sommato, veloce anche perché viene agevolato da tutti gli attrezzi già presenti all'interno della confezione. L'unico appunto è il libretto di istruzioni che è da leggere "al microscopio" e che rende necessario un passaggio sul sito per il video di montaggio. Apprezzatissimi dall'utilizzatrice di 4 anni anche gli stiker per personalizzare la bike del suo papà !

Week one review. Initial impressions is it is a quality, albeit expensive, product. Box, instructions, seat all well made. Installed it with two year old "helping" in about 30minutes on full suspension mountain bike. Very easy with installed tools, manual and recommended videos.Initial ride was great and we have been out every day since for short rides in the neighbourhood. I'm still having to remind our two year old to keep both his hands on handlebar versus pointing at neighbourhood cats, dogs, fire engines etc but as that gets better looking forward to hitting some easy mountain bike trails! Overall ride quality and ease of putting our boy on the bike much better than the rear mounted seat we were previously using.Pros: Quality product, great ride, great fun, easy to put toddler on / off bikeCons: It's expensive, no option for a nap so this isn't an all day riding option for a little one who still needs those.

Je viens rarement faire des commentaires sur Amazon (c’est mon premier) et honnêtement, je trouve le packaging au top.Les matériaux m’ont l’air bien solides, les explications bien faites et même les accessoires fournis sont de bonnes factures.Cela change du matériel chinois sans trop de finitions. Même si c’est plus cher, c’est plus rassurant.J’ai un VTTAE Canyon ON AL 6.0 donc mon cadre est plus large, il me fallait quelque chose d’adaptable et il répond bien à mon besoin !J’ai acheté aussi les poignées pour le petit, après essai je ne regrette pas, il se sent plus à l’aise !J’espère faire pas mal de sorties avec le petit, histoire de lui donner envie d’avoir son propre VTT un jour :)

No suelo hacer comentarios sobre productos. Con mi hijo mayor tuve una silla de las que el niño va detrás. Aunque era buena y funcionó bien, nunca me gustó mucho, porque salÃas con el niño a andar en bici y realmente estabas totalmente aislado de él. El niño te ve la espalda y no sé de lo que se enteraba. Yo no le veÃa ni interactuaba con él. Además, su peso no estaba centrado en la bicicleta y quedaba bastante elevado, de forma que no ayudaba a la estabilidad de la bici. Miré modelos para poder llevarle delante, entre el manillar y mi sillÃn, pero no vi nunca nada que me convenciera. Este verano he vuelto a buscar, para llevar a la peque que tiene 3 años. Y me animé con este modelo y ha sido un acierto. La experiencia de llevar a la niña en bici es totalmente diferente, nos pasamos el camino hablando de lo que vemos, mira hacia adelante y lo ve todo, y al ir agarrada al manillar de la propia bici, tiene una posición mucho más activa que en la silla, y tiene que agarrarse ella para ir amortiguando baches etc.. Al no llevar un cinturón de seguridad paramos todo lo que nos apetece porque no se tarda nada en subirla y bajarla. Y no me da sensación de inseguridad, porque va "abrazada" entre mis piernas y mis brazos, de forma que su caÃda accidental es muy dificil. Aunque el producto es caro, es de buena calidad. Resulta importante nombrar también que el sillÃn apenas ocupa espacio, y por tanto mi bicicleta puede ir en el portabicis sin quitar este asiento infantil, que se ha quedado fijo. Apenas molesta cuando monto yo sólo. La silla trasera ocupaba muchÃsimo sitio, siendo un engorro para llevarla de viaje en vacaciones por ejemplo. Con este sillÃn es practicamente como si no llevara ningún accesorio adicional. Estoy muy contento de haberlo comprado. Sólo con la intención de ver cuántos años voy a poder utilizarlo, he llevado a mi hijo mayor que ahora ya tiene 10 años, y obviamente es incómodo pero se puede. Asà pues creo que que con la pequeña podré aprovechar este sillÃn estos años, hasta que empiece a ir en su propia bici. Tened en cuenta la edad mÃnima de uso, porque es necesario que el niño se agarre sólo. La indicación de 2 a 5 años creo que es acertada. Si el peque es más pequeño, este no es tu sillÃn.

Einfach soooo mega! Einer der besten Käufe dieses Jahr! Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem guten Kindersitz fürs Fahrrad für Kinder (Unser Sohn ist 18 Monate) und wir wollten auf KEINEN Fall so eine langweilige Plastikschale für den Gepäckträger haben. Erstens haben wir keinen Gepäckträger weil wir eher die Downhill Fahrer sind und zweitens sind wir der Meinung dass so ein klassischer Kindersitz fürs Fahrrad einfach nicht zu uns passt.Unser Sohn hat eine riesen Freude damit! Er will gar nicht mehr vom Fahrrad runter. Fördert absolut die Konzentration, Gleichgewicht, super cool, super praktisch, wir haben ihm im Blick, er langweilt sich nicht und wir können endlich zusammen biken gehen!! Und zwar so richtig!Wir haben Lenker und Sitz und würden den Lenker auch dazu klar mitempfehlen. Spätestens wenn er mehr Kraft hat und versucht mitzulenken ist durch den kleinerer Lenker weniger Wirkung da. Zudem hat er mit den Griffen einen super Halt. Montage bei Sitz und Lenker easy.Sattel sehr bequem und sehr schnell auf und abmontiert. Werkzeug bei längeren Touren aber immer mitnehmen falls sich dochmal was lockert. Man weiß nie. Und ein Imbus und ein Schlüssel ist nicht schwer im Rucksack. Werkzeug wird alles mitgeliefert. Tolle Verpackung! Preis,... Puhhh ordentlich aber lohnt sich absolut wenn man gerne richtig biken geht!!!
