The new block was used to replace smaller one due to installation of new light fixture. Block was purchased to match existing Dutch Lap vinyl siding. The form of block fit contours of perfectly. Block fit over existing electric outlet box without any problems. Attractive design and color match.

These worked great to add lights on both sides of my garage. It allowed the lights to be installed level instead of slanted which is how they would've been installed if installed directly to the siding.

For some reason these things are not readily available in stores anywhere, its weird... not even HomeDepot or Menards. That being said, they were EXACTLY what i needed when installing exterior carriage lights on a newly constructed building already sided. Maybe because the building was built by the Amish, but the wood siding reveal was of pretty odd dimensions... so i needed an electrical box with a base that could be modified. I used by Milwaukee rotary too (a Man-Dremel) to notch out the base to match the reveals. The weight and feel of this product FAR exceeded my expectations. It appears to be extremely durable!

I think it’s a really nice sturdy and attractive finish for outdoor light on vinyl siding. The instructions were basically useless. I have a ton of construction experience and tools but it took me a long time and several failed attempts to get it right. They don’t tell you but if you have an existing electrical box installed you have to remove it. Only the wiring must stick out of the wall. This item has to be screwed into the wood not the existing box. I would give it 5 stars except for the confusing directions. Bring some help with you. Good luck.
