This mesh divider was very easy to assemble, requiring attachment of three upright pieces with six small screws. It holds 8 1/2 x 11 pages as expected. It appears to be relatively sturdy, but probably shouldn't be dropped.

Because the journals/small spiral notebooks on my desk were stacked, they were hard to access without having to dig through the pile. I had tried standing them up with bookends, but my bookends weren't heavy enough and the the journals kept falling over. This item works perfectly to keep them on end and easy to access one at a time. I wish I had thought of doing this a long time ago! My only concern is that the screws to hold the unit together are not flush with the frame. There is a possibility that removing a journal many times will leave a mark on the bottom edge of the cover. This would not be a problem with file folders. I gave the file stand only three stars for assembly because they come with tiny little screws with screw holes in difficult to access spaces. Be patient; it will come together and serve you well. I recommend this product for files or small books and notebooks.

The holes (top and bottom) were mis-aligned so that it was impossible to place the second screw.The set was therefore useless.Frustrating and disappointing.The company should look at their quality control.
