I’ve always used this chalk box, specifically love the needle point to hold it in place for a one man snap, I call it my apprentice.

To make fine accurate cut lines on crooked boards!... the con is the fine line tends to break at the PIN too often for what I would like.

This was sold as new but it was used. The package came crudely stapled together and missing a piece. Totally a waste of time. My husband was so mad he just threw it away because he doesn’t want to spend his day off taking it to UPS to return it.

This line may be fine, but I wasn't going to find out. It comes with a sealing stopper in place. Attached is a pin to stick in drywall. Loose in the package is a regular hook. To attach the hook, you must cut the line, remove the stopper and tie on the hook. The stopper seals the line from dirt and water,So using the hook, which most of us use to snap a line, leaves it open. The hook should be an integral part of the stopper . I returned the product.
