Expect EXCELLENT quality when you buy THIS croquet set!! You will LOVE the leather-like handle grips; the finish on the wood shafts & heads is TOP quality; the mallet heads have been branded and have the look & feel of a custom set; the balls are excellent weight, quality and color; and the strength and thickness of the steel wickets was impressive!! I would buy this for my most discriminating friends! And the price was “Right on the Money!! Yay for me!!

This is our first croquet set so I can't compare this to any others. However, the set seems sturdy and stood up to a birthday party full of 10 year old girls who had a great time learning how to play the game.

The set came well packed with no cracks or dings. The mallets and stakes are well made and seem sturdy so far after a few games. The mallet grips are a nice touch, but I have a feeling they will eventually peel. The wickets are made of thicker metal than most other croquet sets, and seem like they won't bend or warp easily in the future. The carrying bag is very large and can easily fit everything back into it, including the assembled mallets and a rubber mallet of my own for pounding in the stakes. I would like to mention that I don't recommend ever using the croquet mallets to pound in the stakes or wickets. Use your own rubber mallet, or a block of wood with a hammer.The only reasons I didn't give this 5 stars is the quality of the balls, and the color choices. The balls are large enough, but are very lightweight and already have some dents after just one game. Also, I prefer the original croquet colors (blue, red, black, green, yellow, orange) since they are well contrasted. This set has purple and pink instead of orange and black, which seems like a strange color choice. It wasn't a deal breaker for me, but I imagine anyone who struggles with seeing colors would have a hard time telling them apart.

Having spent more time at home in the last few years, we are constantly looking for family activities that we can do with our 6 and 8 year old boys. The weather is only good for half the year, but we like to spend as much of the good time outside - active in the yard. We set up this croquet set and the boys went nuts! They love it, and keep asking us to play again (although we only have time on the weekends). A set of 6 allows guests (and neighbors) to join in. Very durable and solid.It has a nice bag, heavy duty black canvas, that is great for storage or transport - we have taken to friends house and the park, and it travels well also! I love that it came with instructions, on both how to set it up and also how to play, because it wasn’t something we knew before. Also great for teaching others.

The summary of this set described a well built, solid set. I was not disappointed upon opening it. Everything has a decent weight to it.The only complaint I could come up with were the grips. They aren't exactly golf club grips like I expected but they also aren't uncomfortable. It seems like they tried to cut corners there but really its more a knock to the cosmetic aspect than functionality or comfort.Also, I can't tell if these balls are plastic or wood. Maybe they are wood with a plastic coating? Regardless, they are definitely well made and feel solid. From the set I remember playing with as a kid, they were just solid wood balls. This coating might just be to keep the balls from getting dinged up. Again, not a really bad knock on the set, just not what I expected.Overall I as happy with my purchase and would make the same decision again if given the choice.

Easy to assemble. Love that everything fits in the included bag (the mallets do not need to be disassembled). The croquet balls seem sturdy and durable. For average to tall heights, we appreciate the longer mallets. The wickets are hard to see in the yard so we tied yarn/ribbon to each for more visibility. This set seems worth the extra money compared to the cheaper ones. Definitely a fun game to play with family and friends!

Après la première utilisation, 2 balles étaient brisées. Elles étaient cassées à l'intérieur de sorte qu'on entendait les fragments brisés se déplacer à l'intérieur de la balle. De plus, un des piquets s'est cassé lorsque que j'ai rangé celui-ci dans le sac et qu'il a heurté un marteau avec peu de force.Par contre, les marteaux et les arceaux étaient solides et de bonne qualité.

Just arrived so still untested. There is little to no threading on 2 of the mallet heads, so the handles just fall off. The other 4 look ok and seem to tighten well.
