This is a very good camera for amateurs like me and maybe even for professionals.I used it at the beach, in the salty water, in the pool and in the air (on a zipline).Pros:-Good picture quality-Good battery life-Easy to operate (with the buttons or connected to phone)-Updates the time on the device when connected to smartphone-Pictures and movies capabilities underwater. It even has an underwater mode, which I didn't use, but I made great pictures.-Great case for underwater use. I read some reviews about the camera not being able to pickup sounds when in the waterproof case. But in some situations it recorded some sound (good enough to hear water or your voice sometimes)Cons:-Doesn't have a small internal battery to keep settings (for example the time), when replacing the battery while in the action all pictures taken after that have the default time (1 januari 2016 or so). For me this was a problem, because I didn't want to use the camera with my phone while snorkeling as the camera is waterproof and my phone isn't. This is why I removed 1 star.-the device is a little slow to respond when using the buttons to operate-downloading the pictures is a hassle when using the provided app (android), you have to select each picture/movie separately ->workaround is to remove your sdcard and place it in you pc/laptop-gets very hot and drains the battery when downloading the pictures using the provided appEven with these cons (most of them have a workaround), the only real con for me was the date being reset every time the battery was replaced.

Für ein Einsteigermodell ist die SJ8 pro eine sehr gute Kamera, die auch locker mit einer GoPro mithalten kann und das für einen guten Preis. Das mitgelieferte Zubehör ist sehr umfangreich und auch die Fernwatch ist mit dabei.Die Aufnahmen mit mittlerer Auflösung sind gut. Für anspruchsvollere Aufnahmen ist die 4k, bzw. 4k ultra Einstellung am besten, da dann eine hohe Detailtreue gewährleistet ist. Da ich sie vorwiegend zum Schnorcheln nutzen werde, ist das auch die beste Einstellung. Ich könnte die Kamera noch nicht ausführlich testen, aber mit dem mitgelieferten Zusatzgehäuse ist sie wasserdicht (Test in der Badewanne). Nützlich ist auch die Fernwatch, da man damit immer die Hände frei hat.Hier muss ich allerdings anmerken, das sich die Fernwatch nicht weiter als ca. 1m von der Kamera entfernt befinden sollte, damit sie sich über WIFI verbinden.Man kann die Aufnahmen dann auch gleich per WIFI auf das Smartphone etc. übertragen. Und es gibt sogar eine Bearbeitungssoftware mit dazu. Diese funktioniert allerdings nicht immer. Aber ich habe mir die LightCut-App heruntergeladen und damit ist die Bearbeitung ein Kinderspiel.Ein Akku (es sind 2 im Lieferumfang enthalten) hält bei einer Daueraufnahme im 4k ultra Modus ca. 40 - 45 min.Einzige Manko: Es wäre eine ausführlichere Bedienungsanleitung wünschenswert, da man dann nicht nicht so lange mit den Einstellungen herum experimentieren muss.Alles in allem ist dies eine sehr gute Kamera, die man guten Gewissens kaufen kann.

Camera with accessories looks ok. But app has to many adds of other products and find it to much hassle trying to see photo's. Be better if they could be seen in your gallery. So returning.

Good quality picture for the price, picture, waterproof too ( I use it as a helmet cam and I can't fault it tbh have wore this in torrential rain and not a drip had gotten through the case ). Would definitely go for the upgraded version rather than this one though as the price is pretty much the same.Battery life is OK, not great but not terrible. That being said it does come with 2 batteries so if one dies you're still good to goBattery housing is a bit flimsy and comes off some times but if it's in the case that's not an issueDownloading the footage can be quite lengthy if you donit through the WiFi but you could always just take the sd card out and download it directly off that which is a lot quickerOverall I think if you need something cheap and cheerful then this ( or its upgrade ) is the camera for you.
