These over the calf (OTC) lightweight Pure Athlete Ski Socks utilize advanced merino wool to help keep feet warm while skiing or snowboarding. The socks are engineered to provide thermal regulating properties to keep feet warm without overheating. The ski socks are ultra-soft, to ensure there is no irritation while skiing. The moisture wicking properties prevent the buildup stink and perspiration.

Our Original knee-high ski socks are made of 58% Nylon, 23% Merino Wool, 16% Polypropylene, and 3% Lycra Spandex. I am not a skier but needed some warm but thin socks for my boots this winter. I am allergic to wool and it always itches but these do not itch at all! Very comfortable and thin, which I prefer, and nice and warm for me in temps that are not terribly low. They are good down past freezing into the 20’s so far but we haven’t had any really cold weather in Rhode Island this winter yet. Not much support or compression, but a nice sock that works when you need a warm knee sock under pants. They are ok in the dryer, but I hang them dry now after trying that on one pair. It didn’t ruin them however and I may end up drying them in the dryer more since they were a bit loose initially. They stay up, no problem.

Best cold weather ski sockets around.I own many different brands and weights of ski socks and if the weather is cold, these are absolutely the best. As other reviewers have commented, they keep your feet warm in all but the coldest weather without chemical heaters. I have skied for several hours in sub-freezing weather without a problem. In fact, the only time my toes ever got cold was after several hours of skiing in temperatures close to 0 F.They also have extra weaving that serves as padding in just the places where you need it (see the darker or lighter areas in the product picture), and are shaped specifically for Left and Right feet for a good smooth fit.Yet, despite the warmth and extra padding they are not bulky and I had no problem fitting my feet into my ski boots. They have the right amount of stretch so that they fit a wide range of foot sizes nicely without being lose or too tight. I am a Men's 11 and purchased a L/XL and it fit well. I was also impressed with how soft they felt as I am usually not happy with wool socks -- even Merino wool.I highly recommend having at least one pair of them for skiing when the temperatures are below or around freezing. I like them so much that I recently purchased a second pair.

I just received these socks a week ago and used a pair skiing the other day. The socks fit very well and was nicely snug all through out while skiing. It also kept my feet warm - no issues whatsoever. The outside temperature at the time was about 15 degrees (F) and steady snow. I would buy these again and recommend it to my friends.

They were for my wife, the super skier. She said here feet felt great all day. This is her second pair and was excited to see that they were still available.

Tight compression. They are thin and not for winter unless you put another pair over the top. They do want they said.

Socks were Thinner than I expected but worked well and were durable. Skied in 10° weather...no issues on sunny days without warmers. Same temp, no sun and warmers...toes a bit cold but probably not a sock issue. Keepers...bought 1 each in black and pink.

Took these socks out for a day at the slopes and they performed great. Extremely lightweight and you can barely feel them. It was about 32 degrees Fahrenheit and these socks combined with the snowboard boots did a good job of keeping me warm. I imagine that in colder environments it might be necessary to move up to a more heavy duty sock, but they have risen to every occasion that I have tested them against so far. The colors are great too!
