I had to cut almost a quarter of an inch off the side of the entire roll for it to fit in the slats. Took forever. Did look good after but I wouldn’t have got if I knew it would take an extra few days to do.

It really doesn’t just snap in. It does look real good though. If you have access to the ends of the slatboard it is easier to slide it in that way.
