I used this breaking up a sidewalk the other day. it is a good quality sledge hammer. the handle took most of the shock, and my hands weren't killing me at the end of the day.

This Toolzeen 10-Pound double-faced sledge is a beast!It takes a lot of the shock and disperses it somewhat through the handle and grip. It has a particulate filled fiberglass core and shock absorbing collar.I couldn't figure out what they meant by "No-Slip H-Grip Handle"...I couldn't figure out the H-Grip part. To the best of my detective abilities, it means HAND-Grip.The hand grip turns somewhat tacky when it gets wet...like with sweat!This is a10-Pound Deadblow Mallet and it's total weight is 10.2lbs.The advert page on Amazon has conflicting information;About this item> DIMENSIONS: 35 inches L x 6.3 inches W x 2.55 inches D and head weighs 8 lbs , total weights 10.2lbsVERSES further down the page;Product information> Technical Details> Item Weight ‎4.55 pounds

Needed a new sledge to replace the one I currently have. Lent the old one out to someone who has bad aim and banged up the handle pretty good.The main difference between hammers is probably going to be the handle and vibrations. This one did a good job of dampening vibrations and didn't notice anything significant coming through to my hands.The description on the page could use a bit of consistency as the weights are all over the place. This is an 8 pound head so keep that in mind.

This hammer has some weight to it. It's very big and very strong and is able to tackle my demolition with ease. Used it to take down the walls in my bathroom and I almost got carried away. This was strong enough to go through my bathroom wall and straight into my bedroom if I wasn't careful. The weight balance is great and the grip feels fine in my small hands. Great tool to have for home renovations.

This beautiful sledgehammer looks very well-made. All the edges and lines of the hammerhead, as well as the handle, are clean, smooth, and without any nicks or dents. The handle is made of fiberglass, which is immensely sturdier than stainless steel or wood, thus should be durable. The hammerhead is made of steel, so it should be very durable too. I already have a sledgehammer with a wooden handle, but this one is so much better. I cannot find any weakness with this sledgehammer, so it gets a solid 5-star rating from me.

I ordered this specifically for using with a wood splitter since it's the perfect weight for the job. It has an extended lightweight handle that offers a textured grip surface that feels good in my hands and won't easily slip. It appears to be well made and durable so it should hold up to my yard work.

Head is built solid, handle is average, the connection between handle and head showed signs of wear and poor craftsmanship right out of the box tho.... sofar it's worked perfectly but I don't expect the head to stay on long term.You always should inspect that connection before using a sledgehammer in general,. But I think it's much more important on this one. I've seen the head on a sledgehammer and a couple splitting mauls come off before and beyond the danger of of 6-12 ib hunk of metal flying though the air at a solid velocity being incredibly dangerous, you would be surprised how much you can hurt yourself by swinging the handle when it goes from being heavy to weightless!! You can easily tear a muscle or have the handle bounce right back at your face.
