Installing Your Glass Door Lock: A Step-by-Step Guide
- 1. Begin by closing and locking your door in its closed position.
- 2. Extend the bolt down until it is securely fastened.
- 3. Place the lock on the vertical rail of the sliding door, making sure not to touch the bottom sill. Position the bolt as close as possible to the rail.
- 4. Mark the holes on the lock and the rail, then use the screws provided to mount the lock,
- 5. When drilling the holes, please make sure you don’t drill through the glass.
- 6. Position the keeper so that the bolt is centered in the slot then mark the holes and use two screws to mount the keeper.
- 7. To limit the door opening to about 3 inches simply engage the bolt onto the second slot on the keeper.

Just b careful when installing, we were being careful with install. But we grazed the corner of the glass. Shattered the entire door. I now have 2 pay 3000.00 dollars for a new sliding door. Only let a professional install it.

Easy to install depending on thickness of vinyl on the sliding door frame. Do not recommend for 1/4" door frame thickness.

Our patio door is old and planning on replacing it just not yet. The lock is broken so I thought I would give it a shot. It is well made and works perfect for us. We had to drill a hole for the latch and few screws well worth the money for a lock until we replace the hole door.
