Even though it's battery operated, meaning they'll have to be changed from time to time, I'm still on my original battery and it works very well. Easy to fit onto the valve to get a reading. Some gauges are hard to push in consistently and have to try multiple times to get a correct reading. This was designed to fit and push in easily, and turned out to be a nice product. Backlit read out is helpful as well.

Initially bought this digital tire pressure gauge because of the cost, thinking that it would be cheap and hopefully get the pressure somewhere close to what it should be. Thankfully it was a pleasant surprise to get a product at this price point that was not a cheaply made knockoff. This is one of the most popular gauges at most of the big retail chains. The device itself comes with a preinstalled battery - all you have to do is squeeze the red button and pressure onto the valve stem of the time. The reading is backlit on the screen already and you can toggle between the different measurements (although we really only care about PSI.. right?) . Another nice feature of this gauge is that the tip with the green plastic around it also lights up when it is on. Although I hope never to have to try - I'd assume this would be a huge help stumbling around at night drying to find the right spot on the tire. The only draw back I could potentially foresee would be that the battery is not replaceable - you'd have to buy another unit whenever it goes dead. This won't be an issue if it never has to be used as long as the battery doesn't go bad too soon in a hot glovebox (where I'd assume most people will carry theirs). Looking back at the alternatives and price points - this is by far the best buy and I'd highly recommend it.

This Slime tire gauge is pretty good overall. I picked it up as an Add-On item for about $5; for that price it is worth it. Over the years I have kept assorted digital tire gauges in each of our cars glove boxes and use each of them once or twice a month to maintain proper inflation. Living in a place with four seasons, the temperature fluctuations can throw off tire pressures and we all know that leads to uneven wear, decreased gas mileage, decreased tire life, blowouts, etc. Below are the PROS vs CONS for this gauge:PROS:Backlit display is easy to read even at nightIlluminated valve ring helps make the placement of the gauge easierAccurate; I simultaneously took pressures with three different gauges and all gave readings within 0.5 PSIOperates well in both hot and cold temperaturesFairly easy to grip with rubberized handleCONS:Feels a little small and unsubstantial in a grown-up's hand and the user's grip has to be shifted to see displayOn/Off button is required, rather than activation by seating the gauge on the valve stemWhen the batteries go, this gauge will go in the trashBacklight stays on long after use which can drain the batteries quicker (its better to turn it off with the button after your last reading)In summary, this is a handy little gauge which should fit the bill for most who require a gauge for vehicle, (Presta) bicycles, or snowblowers and things like that. My favorite is still the Accutire MS-4021B as that thing is well designed and has been a workhorse for about 6 years now, but for a bit more money than a simple pencil gauge, this digital Slime gauge is a good choice, too.

This is my second one -- the first one lasted years, but the display was scratched so harder to see.Absolutely love this one - accurate - easy to use - new one has colored background in display which is even easier to see.

I had a Slime Mini tire pressure gauge for several years that worked well, but it was misplaced. I looked to order the same as a replacement, but this gauge was a couple of dollars cheaper. So far it works good and seems to be accurate. We'll see if it holds up as well as the mini.

I tried this and it was accurate, I compared it to the result of 2 different devices.Using this was very straightforward, when you press the button it turns on and the LED light turns on immediately, this device is clearly visible in both daytime and nighttime, there is no need to play with the LED light.you need to push the device for a half of second to the tire valve and it will immediately show a very accurate result.The device turns off automatically after a minute to save battery life which gives a piece of mind to the user.
