It was really simple to install, just make sure your existing piping is cleaned as best as possible due to the nature of how these seal, so you won’t have any leaks. Also, make sure you’re looking for a slip on, not a screw on cause it definitely won’t work!Overall we are happy with this product. It looks very similar to our previous one which is what we wanted, and has been really easy to keep clean/shiny. So far after a couple weeks of being installed it seems to be holding up pretty good, the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 starts is that upon turning off the shower, the diverter doesn’t automatically come down like others I’ve bought in the past. All in all though, pretty happy with this tub spout for the price!

It's ok the diverter is loose so it drips when using the shower head.

I bought this to replace a shower spigot whose shower-diverter mechanism broke. Slip fit spouts are really great -- removing the old unit and replacing it with this one took about 3 minutes, and that included a trip to the broom cupboard to fetch some cleaning supplies.Local hardware stores did not carry the spout/diverter components separately, you had to buy a $100-200 kit that includes the water actuator/valve and shower head, so this saved me a bundle.

This tub spout is absolute trash! Sure it is easy to install and slips right on the pipe but that doesn’t mean that it works right. When pulling up on the knob to divert water up to the shower, the diverter simply does not seal. Water still continues to gush out and the pull knob will not even stay up. There is no way to fix this. It is just not made with the small enough tolerances to hold back the pressure of water. I wish I can return this stupid thing.
