How To Install the Tub Spout
Please install a 1/2" NPT diameter water pipe (no threads), wrap teflon tape on the water pipe (to prevent leakage), insert the water pipe into the connection port of the tub, and then fix the tub spout with a hexagon key.
Recommended length of water pipe out of the tile 2-3/4” Minimum to 4-1/4” Maximun.
NOTICE: the wrong size of the water pipe will not be able to complete the installation.

This is a great looking faucet. I wanted to contact the seller, but all you can do is leave a review. The tub spout set screw barely tightens up enough to assist in keeping the spout in place. When the water is turned on, the faucet pushes off because the screw can't hold it. Thank you

I ordered this tub spout for review because we recently decided to swap out all of our guest bathroom's chrome Moen components with matte black fixtures.The material and finish is good to very good. The pull handle diverter is free-spinning but squared, so you will look at that everyday of your life if you have OCD like I do. Lol. It's fine! It's fine.After a quick install, I noticed that the base is not seated against the tile wall. It's off by maybe 2 or 3mm. I didn't measure but i'm sure the copper pipe is less than the 4.25" max, so I don't think that is the issue. But installation is so easy that I'll just take it off and check it out to see why it will not sit before I seal it in.Two other observations you can see in the picture are that this faucet is obviously on the large side. Which is cool but the new black shower handle kit that I just installed above it is perhaps on the small side of things. So it looks a little off but not too noticeable. And the other thing is that if you have hard water like we do in south FL, this spout is going to show watermarks every time you shower if you don't wipe it down. I usually clean a product before I take a picture of it to show the entirety of the internet, but I left it as-is this time. This doesn't bother me, but just thought it was worth mentioning.Assuming I will get the base to sit flush, which I know I will, this is an all-around good product and worth the $30 price. 4 stars!

This tub spout looks amazing. I needed this one because my tub has a 2 inch ledge a around it and I didn't want to get al eventual watter stain on the front of the tub from the few drops of water that come out after I turn the water off. It is heavy and has a beautiful shape and finish. It's easy to install and it doesn't leak. It has great water flow and the diverter drops down after you turn off the water if you use the shower, which is why I had to replace my old one.

The faucet does not sit flush against the wall tile. This comes from the cheap plastic mount on to the copper pipe. It does extend the water out and is 10" as stated.I would look for a better quality part.
