Standard 15mm Rod
The diameter of the rod is 15mm, which fits all accessories with 15mm hole, such as 15mm rod clamp, 15mm baseplate, 15mm rail system, etc.
Matte Finish Surface
It is the new version of carbon fiber rod with more smooth surface. It fits 15mm rod clamp but its surface is not shining any more because we have redesigned it based on some customers' advice.

The carbon fiber 15mm rods are a perfect fit for my camera rig. Made well and light weight, the rods are a perfect compliment to my camera cage and allows me to add all the additional accessories needed for video shoots while minimizing the amount weight I need to lug around.

WOW! These are light and hold well. Time will tell how they hold up, but the initial impression is very positive. Nice matte finish. I bought three sets to replace/change my aluminum rods. These definitely deflect much less than aluminum making installation of other gear easy. They can't/don't have stopper caps, but their grippy matte surface should alleviate the need for those things.Update:Over a year later, and I keep ordering these for all my rigs. They are great. They don't have threads for expansion, but are these prices, who cares. Buy the length you need, or buy long ones and cut them to size(s). The more I shoot, the more I want to lighten my rig. The more I buy and use these rods. Every bit of weight savings helps, and these are no more than aluminum rods. Plus, these don't clank, are quieter than aluminum, and don't ever feel really hot or really cold. Plus, who doesn't love the look of carbon equipment? They are superior to aluminum in every way except having threaded ends. If you don't need threaded ends, you need these.

These 15mm rails are an amazing value! I purchased a shoulder rig and have started to change out some parts, and these rails are the finishing touch. These are lightweight, and look amazing. They fit perfectly, and the matte surface is actually a. It "grippier" for the clamp holding my monitor.These are a huge upgrade to almost any rail system, and I am looking forward to getting a lot of use out of them.

I used to mount my Canon VG-30 in a small rig and I am impressed by the quality, highly recommended!Sturdy, lightweight and very durable. As a bonus, fiber looks really nice.

I have the a7siii with the tilta full cage with a smallrig mattebox and I still have just enough clearance to put my smallrig v-mount base on the back and once it arrives it'll the perfect rig that will meet my standards

I've been using aluminum rods from SmallRig for several years and I've never had a problem with any of them. Quality has never been an issue with those, so I decided to take a chance on their carbon fiber variety. These are no exception - They're functional, light weight, AND they look good! One of the rods I received seemed slightly larger in diameter as it was a snug fit into most of my unlocked 15mm clamps. Still no issues getting parts on or off (As I do constantly), just something to note.Have peace of mind when ordering SmallRig components, they're simply the best in terms of cost to performance!

Seem very solid, although they are heavier than I thought they would be, definitely have a beefy wall thickness, so that might explain the weight, but I'm leaning towards these not being solid carbon fiber?

The finish is outstanding on these. They are made of real CF. I broke my bosch drill bit drying to drill through it. So good to drill slower if you dont want to break your drill bits .
