Love that this will allow me to empty my black and gray tank with ease. It fits nicely under the camper for storing when not in use. Great value for the money. No installation involved. Performance will be excellent.

This unit does not come with hose. And ad states it doesn't come with hose. People have complained that it doesn't come with a hose. Please read ad before ordering. You will not become upset if you already know it doesn't come with a hose.

So it does It's Job well. I have two complaints about the product. One is that is has a post fitting on it as do most trailers so you have to find a specific hose that has bayonet fittings on both ends or use your dump station 90. Second is the 3" cap does not fit real snug. I lost mine while I was towing it to the dump station to empty it, lucky I found it on the way back and use some tape now to secure it. All together it is would the price since all the other options are so expensive

I was living alone in my camper at the time. This small tank would contain maybe 3 weeks of black water. I was at work during the day, and dumping grey water on the ground. I had to purchase septic lines and connectors separately, couple bucks at WalMart. I'll tell you this; I can't imagine trying to empty something very much larger! When this is near full it will weigh 80-90 lbs. 1 gallon of water weighs 8.35 lbs. It's like picking up 10 gallons of milk all at once.I know it's nice to think that we'll always be emptying something like this at a nice, pretty, easy-to-use dumping station (with no one watching). In the real world though, ask yourself where/how you will really empty it. When emptying this in a porto-potty I was really glad that I chose this smaller lighter tank!Ok, not proud of that particular information. None the less, I very much appreciate the size of this unit, and the wheels, and the fact that neither seal showed any signs of leaking!Best. |-)

Water is about 8.33 lbs a gallon. I looked long and hard at a dumping product before making this purchase. I was worried that 12 gal was not enough but now that I have it I can say that filling the tank and still being able to get it into the back of my truck was possible. I looked at getting the larger dump tank and a pump but the cost was a little too much for me. Then I have the issue of storing all the items. This fits what I wanted to do perfectly. My black hold is only about 60 gallons and yes I have to make a few trips but the ease of moving the tank into my truck and driving down to the dump site was what eventually sold me on this. The tank seals well with the Rhino flex hose. I have had no issues with leaks. The tank will easily fit in my truck bed with my 5th hitch.

Make no mistake--this 12-gallon tank is the runt of the SmartTote2 litter in more ways than one. Not only is it the smallest of the product series, but it lacks all the useful features of its larger siblings: There's no built-in hose and no built-in pop-up vent valve/overfill indicator. (It also comes with an instruction booklet that applies to the larger models, but NOT to this tank.)The omission of an overfill indicator is especially annoying, because extreme care is required to avoid overfilling this small tank. There's no way to know how full it's getting, unless you stop every few seconds and stick a chopstick or small dowel into the vent opening as a dipstick. If you get it wrong, sewage is going to spew out of that vent! Because I chose to play it safe and not fill the tank all the way rather than make a stinking mess, it took me twice as many trips to the dump station.The only reason I bought this model is that my Airstream trailer has fairly low dump valves, and I needed to have a tank whose inlet was lower than the dump valves. At ten inches, this one is--barely. Since unlike all the other SmartTote2 tanks, this model lacks a built-in hose, I had to make my own by cutting down a 5’ sewer hose and attaching a female fitting to the formerly male end. No, you can’t use a regular sewer hose—you need one with TWO FEMALE ENDS! Likewise, to flush this tank via its vent opening, you also need a garden hose with two female ends. I had to make that as well.If due to clearance issues, you absolutely must have the lowest-profile tank possible, this one will work. But if you have a choice, get one of the larger models. Their features that will make life much easier.

Unit is well constructed and take a bit to use but very handy when no service is available but a drop line. The unit does NOT come with the auto stop warning gauge. That is a separate part (Part # 40351).

Perfect for the needs of a small RV with no grey water tank. Capacity is large enough for 2 or 3 days of low/moderate water use. Not too big and very easy to wheel. Note this product does not come with a hose.

Product is fine but not, repeat, not, as advertised. This is as basic a tote as you can get, did not include any of the added features that drew me to it, no auto shut off, no self contained hoses.Similar reviews have popped up for this product, miss advertised, shocking that Amazon continues to promoted, 6 years and running
