I have new boots this year are usually spend about 10 years in each pair. I needed new socks. These really did a good job. I used them in very cold conditions and even being a thin sock. It kept my feet plenty warm. I have been known to complain a lot and the fact that I’m writing a positive review is absolutely freaking amazing.

While these seem a bit pricey at first, they are well worth the investment for warm toes while skiing. We used them for 6 days of skiing temperatures that sometimes dropped below freezing and never had cold feet. They fit well so they stay up on the calf and do not move while skiing. This is my second set of Smartwool socks and I will keep coming back as long as they continue to make them like this.
