Your cart is empty. When a saw is engineered to work as efficiently as the Steelmax S14, your purchase pays immediate dividends. With its precise, fast, clean, burr-free, cool-to-touch cutting, further processing is eliminated, saving you expensive de-burring and further machining. Only Steelmax has a “flip plate” built onto its base that allows the S14 to securely hold round material, pipe and tubing so it doesn’t come loose or turn when being cut – which could damage the material or blade. And its exclusive heavy cast iron base reduces vibration to extend blade life and provide more precise cutting.

This saw is a game changer. If you’ve only used abrasive saws then go ahead and buy this now. I literally gave my DW abrasive saw away to a Buddy after beginning to use this saw. The cuts are cleaner than anything I’ve ever seen, chill to the touch, and burr-free. Be aware that although these are sometimes called cold-cut saws, there are still sparks; although just a fraction of what an abrasive saw produces. This saw is LOUD and the chips that come off are sharp; wear hearing and eye protection, and let the saw do the work, don’t force the blade, and ALWAYS clamp your workpiece. After my factory blade was worn out I opted for a Freud Diablo blade that was actually cheaper than the replacement Steelmax blade, and it cuts very well. Always avoid cutting material on a flat plane, for example: cut flat bar in a vertical position opposed to laying flat. Cut angle iron with the point of the “v†profile facing up, unless of course you are mitering.

Been a godd saw for 5 or 6 years. Switch went bad so ordered a new one they wouldn't tell how much to ship till it was out the door. 12 bucks for switch. 36 bucks to ship. Took the box it came in to post office. They would charge $5.09 to ship back. What a low life company to treat a satisfied customer like this. Would never ever buy from this company again!!!

Built well, but the angles are small and difficult to see. Plus there isn't a handle to change the angle, you'll need to carry a wrench around with you for that. Good strong base, but there's definitely better saws out there for less.

This saw cuts well and seems to be a solid tool. After a couple of months use it still cuts quick and true. I am disappointed in the fit and finish. There are casting flaws in the base, noisy bearings and the tilt lock is almost unusable.

I have made 1000s of cuts on this saw. The only improvement I can recommend is a mitering option where the saw head would rotate to 90*. I bought an ellis band saw for the shop and this saw out preforms it in speed and cut quality on angles. I have cut up to 1/4 x 2 x 6" rectangular tubing with it all the way down to 1/2 square stock by the semi truck load and its taken everything I can throw at it.

Bought the same saw at a local welding supply store for about the same price so this seems to be priced competitively. The saw is made with a cast iron base and can easily produce quality hernias if carried a long ways. Steel guard is very well made from cast metal, possibly aluminum, which gives me a better sense of security over a plastic guard.Saw has plenty of power to cut through almost anything given proper procedure is followed. The table has engraved/cut degree marks which are painted red, nice touch imho, and very accurate. If you can see straight, this saw can cut straight and gives a decent cut quality and minimal burring. The blade has a decent amount of howl to it, so it isn't meant to be operated late at night. The first few cuts were like butter, nice and slow. Then I tried to brag to a co worker and put a hardened axle shaft in the vice, do NOT do this. It dulled my blade, but the thing still cuts mild steel very well, just with a few more burrs. Noob move I know. It has a kinda wierd adapter thingy for securing round pipe also. I am not sure how it is supposed to work, but I have had no problems so far with the vice. This is my first, and probably last dry cut saw purchase as I really think this saw will outlast me. I will be keeping my abrasive saw and fire extinguisher for the hardened stuff. So, if you are looking for a dry cut saw that performs, this is it.

I recently bought this saw to use at work. I have made hundreds of cuts on 3/8" x 3 flat bar on a single blade with no problems. I love the saw! It's a huge improvement to the old chopsaw or angle grinder.
