I bought this rain gauge last fall and loved it! Easy to ready. Simply place the stake in the ground and insert glass tube. However, it is not freeze proof as advertised. 😟 it froze and the glass tube broke. Definitely disappointed!

The Rain Gauge Upgrade has proven to be a practical and reliable tool for my garden. Setting it up was straightforward, and the quality of the materials is solid, with the glass construction feeling particularly durable. The large, clear numbers make it easy to read the measurements. I especially like the adjustable height feature, and I have it set at the highest height, which works perfectly for my setup. The rain gauge has been accurate in measuring rainfall, providing reliable data.I've placed it next to my patio fence behind a rose bush, where it blends in nicely and isn't easily visible from the outside. Overall, knowing exactly how much rain we receive has been very helpful, and I’m very happy with this purchase.

Gauge is marked in 8ths, not 10ths. A bit confusing, but otherwise a quality product. The glass is heavy enough that it isn’t fragile and the numbers are large enough to be seen at a short distance.

I love this and bought two, forgot to remove from the yard and the rain in the glass froze and it broke. Now I need another one, since we have such heavy rains, it’s nice to see the correct amount.

Product description stated Freeze Proof Glass Rain Gauge, with 19" adjustable mount. Rain Gauge is clear plastic, not glass. Also, ground stake is only 12" long and doesn't fasten to holder (bad screw threads). Worst product ever ordered, with inaccurate and falsely stated description. Do not buy this.

Not sure what the theory was, but the blue background these folks use (great idea) for making the water level in the tube show up more easily, ALSO doesn't go all the way down the tube to the bottom . . around here, Oregon, we get many days of rain that are under a half inch or so, which means we gotta go out and get up close and personal to see how much water actually fell into the thing anyway . . . Hmmm . . but over all these are GREAT, I mounted mine into a piece of sheet metal screwed into a board, painted white, mounted on the fence . . looks good enough, and improves their already very readable lines and numbers

I wanted a plain rain gauge that was not distracting but functional. I like my garden plants and flowers to be the star of the show in my yard. The other thing of importance to me was that this rain gauge goes beyond the standard 5" measurement. Where I live we occasionally get rain bombs and will exceed the 5" mark.

I loved this rain gauge when I got it. It's a deep 7 inches, easy to read, and looks attractive in my yard. However, in only one year and 4 months, I'm back shopping for a new rain gauge because the painted numbers have all come off and I can't read it.
