The mat is nice and a lot of fun. Lots of different footwork moves to do. This will help develop good footwork with a soccer ball. The tether is fun but a little sloppy. It gets in the way and you get tangled up in it. Have to experiment with it to find a good way to do it.

I bought this for my kids and not only has it improved their game play but its a great way for them to work on their legs. Both kids will use both legs on this mat so it works for either leg. I only mention this because we had purchased a similar one and found that it was more right side dominant than left. The mat does lay flat and does have a non-slip underside which even stays still on cement. My kids have used this inside of our home, in their room and outside. No matter where they use this mat, it will stay in that same position they lay it in. When this has gotten dirty, we can just wipe it clean and done. Does fold up so it makes things easy to store, especially since it came with a carrying bag. The waist ball holder was a bonus, but a good bonus.

I ordered this for my nine-year-old nephew to practice his soccer agility. He really liked the training mat and found the footwork mat particularly helpful. He reports that it doesn't slip on him and was easy to practice on.He also like the ball control trainer, but the string broke easily - we've yet to replace it since the mat was our primary reason for purchase.

I have a couple nephews who can’t seem to stop messing around with their soccer ball, the thing always attached to their feet. I got tired of them kicking that thing all over the place, especially in the house. So when I did a little research and found that footwork training was extremely important to soccer players, I did a little research and found this. Thin and lightweight and absorbs sound and moisture, easy to clean, with a diagram printed on it that shows the numbers and lines intended for them to practice, and it had the option to add extra training steps to it, I solved my problem and burned their energy off at my place and theirs. They spend hours on it now practicing their footwork. They are learning agility and footwork that has increased their speed and strength and control of the ball. It’s most noticeable on the field and from what I’ve been told, they’re fast becoming better players and more valuable as individual players and as team players.Now? Their friends are invading my yard when they’re over, and sometimes not, and I’m ready to order more to send them home with, and I might need more here so each of them has their own. I think honestly it’s just as well that it’s for training footwork for things other than football, (soccer), because now my niece is using one to practice her basketball footwork.

Threads are coming out of the bag, the stripes so I know that it is poor quality. They boost about the mat thickness, however the mat thickness is les than that of any of the yoga mat. Definitely not worth 40$
