These are plastic pallet knives (size 1, I believe) with perfectly fitted blending "socks" that fit snugly over the blades. The blades are flexible, and comfortable to hold when wiring upright (on an easel). The blender socks are rewashable and reusable, though you will probably want to order the separate pack of blenders.

These are good. Mine arrived with damaged packaging and most of the product missing. The seller replaced it immediately. The product itself is ok. the little tips of the sponge have already ripped and pilled so they don't last all that long. They work awesome for application of the pastel though. I will have to get a lot more tips.

I love them so much I purchased another set. The sponges wash and dry so well.I can lay down lots of pigment on paper and blend custom colors successfully and they blend beautifully on sanded paper too. I have total control a with a heavy to super light touch.

When I ordered these, I was a bit skeptical about paying for something that I thought could be more cheaply replaced with make-up sponges since the materials are very close in feel. But I was wrong. However tight-celled this material is, it serves the PanPastel line of paints very well.I had a tough time at first over-using the paint which seems like ordinary pastels. But just tapping the spongy tip on the surface picks up exactly what works for application on paper.In fact, I tried a make-up sponge to see if they were as good and discovered that it works way too much paint off the surface of the paint pot leaving a pile of loose dust on top! And it applied so much paint on the paper that it rolled off my paper. So, money well-spent!

I love these they are just amazing with PanPastels. I've tried using making brushes and regular paint brushes but they leave a lot of dust. The tools are able to pick up more of product and without the mess. When handling these tools you have to be careful because the cover can easily tear.

These are made specifically by and for PanPastels. If you’re serious about exploring PanPastels, go ahead and get this set. Don’t do what I did, which was starting out buying one at a time. Eventually you’ll want them all so just go ahead, buy the set right off the bat and save yourself some money!
