(I'm a Vine Voice, providing an honest review of a free product) This wool pressing mat is great for obtaining crisp lines on hems and waistbands. I ordered the mat because of its heat-retaining properties. The mat is thicker than expected and you get ample pressing area. I've been keeping it clean with my lint roller. Also, ensuring it's dry before storing away is important, incase the mat holds moisture.

This appears to be false advertising. The Amazon blurb clearly states the product is from New Zealand, when the packaging is equally clear that the mat is made in China. Disappointing!

Good quality wool 13" x 17" mat.Descriptive images in the listing are spot on.Arrived in re-sealable plastic bag.No roughness, no unpleasant odor, no stains.My other wool mat is also 1/2" thick but smaller at only 13" x 13".Now I can use them together when I need a longer ironing surface for large squares, binding, strip quilting, etc.If you don't have one yet, this is a good choice for your quilting space.

I got this to use in my crafting room for when I wanted to use my mini press for small items that didn’t require my larger heating press. It’s perfect! I can’t say that I had an expectation as I’ve never had or seen a wool pressing mat, but it exceeds anything that I would have thought. I am impressed at the weight and feel. There’s absolutely no smell that I can decern even when pressing. When I am using it with my mini press on my table top my table doesn’t even get warm from it. I’ve also been using it in my Cricut Auto Press and I like it better than the pad that came with the press. I’m considering purchasing the big one and I can do away with my ironing board all together. What a space saver!!

I got this for my quilting squares. It's such a hassle to pull out the ironing board or the mini. Then to throw a towel down on the work table, risks leaving a white mark. (Trust me - it can happen.) This is an absolute dream to use. It is easy to slide into the drawer, pull out and then press my squares. I can use it dry or steam iron and it's perfect every time! It has zero odor upon opening. My other one I use for felting had some kind of funky barnyard smell. Not Somime's pressing mat, it's so nice to use. This is most definitely going to get a ton of use. It's also giving my ideas for my quilting friends holiday or birthday gifts. If you do large quilt squares you can get even bigger sizes. Really happy to add this to my craft room tools!
