Basics: Lightweight gloves that do exactly what they are supposed to - amazingly well. Fit my hands perfectly. I have long fingers and gloves very often don't fit quite right, but these were perfect - just enough stretch and give to fit just like they're supposed to. As lightweight as they are, they are also well constructed and should last a long time. Incredibly comfortable - within minutes I didn't even notice that they were still on my hands.Great value! I have been piecing quilts for several years now, and I have tried my hand at free-motion quilting a few times. I've never been too excited about FMQ - piecing and designing is my passion. I had seen "professional" quilters using these gloves, and I had a gift card, so I thought I'd take a chance. I can't believe how much difference these make! I spent hours last night doing a basic meander, which I could never get right before. With these gloves, my stitches were smooth and even, fabric moved along consistently with no major effort. Last time I did FMQ for hours, I spent days recuperating from the aching shoulders that went with the extra effort of manipulating my "quilt sandwich" through the machine. With these gloves, my only soreness was from hours of being hunched in one position - gotta remember to get up and stretch more often! But today I have no soreness at all. Oh, and don't be fooled by the "money saving idea" to use standard knit gloves with fabric paint dots to give mimic the sticky texture and better grip the fabric. I tried that a long time ago. They did grip the fabric better, but they were HOT, making my hands sweat, and I had to keep taking them off and on every time I need to do anything with the thread (stop/start, remove loose threads, change bobbins, etc.). With the Machingers gloves, I never had to take them off until I was done for the night - and my hands never got even a little bit warm. I may finally be a convert to doing my own FMQ instead of always having to pay big bucks for someone else to do it for me. I may even use these gloves for applique and other detailed sewing that could use a little help in moving the fabric. I would highly recommend to anyone who does any amount of FMQ - get these gloves!!

Didn’t realize how little control I had over both small and large quilts until I put these wonderful and comfortable gloves on. Highly recommend!

I needed to replace quilting gloves that I had had for 10 years and these were much better than my old ones. The old ones lost their stickiness. These are so much more comfortable to wear(the old ones made my hands hot) and the stickiness on the pads of the fingers is very effective.

These gloves are so much better than the Fons and Porter ones I bought first. I cannot recommend these enough. Love the rubberized tips around the entire finger (thread doesn't stick when I pick it off the quilt to throw it away). Love the fit- I have long fingers and standard length fingernails, so having a glove to fit the length of my fingers without being tight on the ends of my fingers was critical. Love that they aren't dedicated to a hand so I can just grab them and go. These aren't too hot so sewing on warmer days is ok (they are still gloves and will still be warm on the hands - that's just a given with gloves). The material is stretchy but comfortable. The cuffs fit well and keep the gloves from shifting while sewing. A must buy for anyone that needs better grip when sewing, especially topstitching.

I am a newbie at quilting and this is the first time I use gloves for quilting. The gloves were very useful in guiding my quilt around but I found myself having to remove the gloves to do other things in the quilting process. That was a little frustrating. Maybe as I grow in this activity, it will get easier to use the gloves. I’ve seen some quilters cut the finger tips off the gloves but I was afraid to do that!

These quilting gloves help grip and guide fabric when stitching straight seams, not just free-motion. Reduces tension on hands.

I like the way these fit. Just the right size and work well when I’m quilting.
