Works for ironing my seams on quilt blocks without smashing the quilt. Seems well made, too. Nice and heavy, and not easy to flip while using with a hot iron.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this is a wonderful tool to have in your sewing room to press seams open.I am working on the Fireworks quilt and as you can see in the image, there is a lot of seam pressing involved. Each square has 73 pieces to sew and all the seams are pressed open. Some seams are vertical and others are not. I have been fighting seams going in the wrong direction when I iron. This tool is a game changer. You lay the seam on top of the wool felt and let each side of the fabric drop. This is wonderful because you are only ironing the seam but not the surrounding fabric. I am one happy camper and highly recommend it for pressing seams.

I purchased this to iron tubular seams open and it worked beautifully! I've seen others but they are pricey. This wool covered clapper is a great value!
