We don’t use Blu Ray players much but so far this works pretty well.We bought it for a replacement for a Blu Ray player that was about 10 years old and had stopped working.The player comes with an HDMI cable which is helpful. It works as advertised. I tried an old DVD from a 70’s TV show and it looks pretty good on a 65†4K TV. The player does upscale the DVD as promised.Will update if anything changes but so far, happy with the purchase.

This works great. I would have given it 5 stars, but I sure wish it had a basic display and lit buttons. This seems to be the new standard with DVD players today. Sometimes you get a disk that may not load and you have no idea is the player is even ON!. The simple play arrow, stop square and pause bars, would help.I realize most people use the remote, so there are not lit buttons, but you have no idea what is going on if the movie does not show up on your TV.

This BluRay player also plays Music CDs and Regular DVD's and Digital CDs including photos. You can get your favorite Apps as well like YouTube and Netflix just to name a few. It will upscale to give you a bright and colorful picture on your 4K TV. I created a photo CD with 71 photos and the DVD player did a slide show with fade out transitions available in two speeds.

The small size to what I needed. It does excellent 4K and 3d!Simple wireless controller.Price was super versus something newer and bigger. Newer does not mean better in this case.

Says it will play 3D BluRays but it won't. I have 10 3D titles and none of them would work through this player. Works great for DVD and standard BluRay but useless for 3D content.

This Sony player offers exceptional quality for a very reasonable price. Almost all functionality is controlled by the very easy to use remote control that will fit in the smallest hands (people with large hands must be aware of what they are doing until they master controlling the unit). We now have two of these units and two of their cousins that are modified to read blu-rays and DVDs that are from regions outside the US. We are very pleased with all of them.

Used primarily for watching DVDs. Secondarily TV is watched.Reception is "iffy" at best and I expect better performance on any product with the Sony brand.
