This eyecup replacement was a solid fit. It was more secure than the Sony eyecup that came in my camera for some reason. Sony quality which is top notch. The price is a good value and just right for a brand eyecup replacement.

It is the genuine article, so that counts for something. The third party products I have tried tend to be either cheaper knock-offs or distinctly different with their pros and cons. This EVF eye rest is decent, but unfortunately it wasn’t designed terribly well from a perspective of staying on the camera with some regular outdoor use (wildlife shooting, etc). I have never has this issue with a camera.

If you use your camera in the outdoors, eventually you will lose the lens cup. Happens to me once or twice a year. I always keep a spare in my card pouch. This one is best if you wear glasses.
