My 14 yo has always loved to fish and it was time to upgrade. After a lot of research into bait caster setups, I decided on this. He loves it, and it breaks down nicely to fit in his pack. Takes a little time to set up for appropriate drag/tension, but a great bargain for a rod/real combo

This fishing pole is extremely light weight, the color is vibrant and best of all, the pole is interchangeable (meaning- you can purchase additional reels to use with this pole - As long as you use their brand. The reels are really smooth and quiet. Would recommend. Their customer service team is excellent and also provide you with quick response answers.

Its a 2 piece medium/heavy fast rod with good feel. It casts well and is comfortable to hold.The baitcaster reel is just ok. The magnetic brakes barely make a difference no matter the setting. Even with the tension cranked to max you should expect lots of bird nests and backlash. My recommendation is to leave the brakes wide open and use your thumb as the brake.

I got this pole for my son for Christmas. He just opened it and this piece that holds the reel on is made of very cheap plastic and it was broken out of the packaging. Super disappointing!!!
