Nice large jar with the always useful straight spatula and bands. Honestly any jar will do but having straight sides helps you be able to scrape them clean and the price was great.

Overall very happy with this purchase. I was making my first starter, and wanted to ensure I had a large capacity so I could make several loaves with my first prepared batch.My only complaint is there is a slightly raised logo on the outside of the jar, and some of that shape affects the inside of the jar, which can get started stuck unnecessarily. Overall it's a minor thing, the indents are not very deep and can be wiped clean with a paper towel. Just a little frustrating since they definitely don't need to be there at all!

I love this kit!You can definitely just use a Mason jar for it but the fact that this is a straight jar with a wide opening make it so much easier to sturd.I also love the spatula that comes with it

Our Sourdough Starter/Mother has never been happier! Our family started a gluten free sourdough starter many months ago and this canister was a Christmas gift for our family. What a game changer! Our sourdough mother has never been happier and she is very bubbly!
