I have a 13 foot Kayak and a 10 foot kayak on this rack and it is taking up space in a previously unused section of my garage. I didnt have a third kayak to put on the top so I threw a 12 foot ladder up there. So PLENTY of space and it is very secure. No bending. Just handles the weight no problem. The other thing to mention is the construction of this is not the typical amazon generic name quality. This is a very high-quality stand. You can even flip it around with no loss of strength and get different angles to hold different things. This looked like a simple stand but wound up being way better than I expected. I expected it to hold kayaks well. I did not expect it to look as nice as it does.
