Not sure why others have issues with it. It is a tiny bit longer than my stock bolt and the washer is a little thinner than stock. Overall the spectre one is a tad longer with its washer and fits fine.I use loctite and not the lock washer that is suppliedValue is low only because for a bolt and a washer, it's pricey.

Product is exactly what it says it is. Chuck the lock washer and just throw some blue loctite on it and torque to spec. Fit my 97 sbc 350 with stock replacment scat crank.

bolt is only 2 1/4 inch long which is good for most sbc.remember don't pull harmonic balancer on with bolt use proper install tool then put bolt in.worked great in my 327 chevy motor.

I purchased this to replace the old worn original bolt on a Gen1 SBC and it is 100% compatible in length. This bolt is even better as the actual bolt face is thicker allowing more grip surface for the socket. The bolt should be installed once the harmonic balancer is installed and totally seated with the correct tool and the bolt torqued to 65ftlbs, any other method will cause damage to your engine or the bolt and washers. If it doesn't fit your application.....you bought the wrong part.

other reviews say the washer open up under torque bought a grade 8 lock at the hardwear store alls good.
