I had been trying to do some fine engraving in brass using 0.1mm tip flat grind engravers, and struggling mightily. Even though these tools have a bigger tip, I re-worked my design to accommodate the size difference and what an amazing difference. These are cutting much better, and LASTING. After a few test cuts the tip looks perfect at 40x macro. The old point engravers would lose their tip almost immediately. These having two flutes helps to. As long as my design and handle the larger size, I'm glad I switched. Running at 24k rpm, 0.25mm depth of cut, .5mm width of cut.

These worked great for engraving brass and aluminum for a set of wax seal stamps I was making! I used Vcarve to generate toolpaths but these little mills can do surprisingly fast. For feeds and speeds I had 10 IPM and 0.01 DOC in both aluminum and brass and I never broke the cutter (in about 2.5 hours of machining).

These bits do a very nice job rendering the fine detail on the images and bas reliefs I do on my cnc machine. The seem very sharp and for the price are excellent.

I bought a 5-pack of these bits for $20, not expecting much. The first bit held up really well through a 10 hour hardwood (cherry) 3D carve. Still sharp afterward. I used the same but as an end mill to cut out some laser cutting design from 1/8" plywood. The bit is still sharp. If the other 4 bits in the pack hold up this well, they're a steal at $20.

I do alot of 3d cnc milling on walnut. This bits are sharp and last along time. They leave a amooth finish and get into thoughts hard to get spots. Ive tried some other brands and these are the best I have found so far

This is a profile I cut out of siren head and attached to a chest I build for my son's girlfriend's son. I was able to use this to clear out the sharp angles and even clear the skinny area above the R and B in the name. Feed rate of 640 mm/min, stepover 20%, and RPM of 18000. Hope this helps.

Cut well and shed chips well. Seems pretty tough for a small bit. I was able to run it faster that end mills of similar size. I was using it on hard plastic for nametags and oak, hickory and walnut for inlays and engraving.

Expected a bit this give to break during a long 3d vcarve finish pass. But, handled two long runs with great results

The grind seems to be good, but the tip diameter is actually 2.2mm. It is OK for my use and could be just my batch, but do make sure you measure them before using.

I am very impressed with the detail that can be cut with one of these. They are far stronger than my 1/16th inch bits and yet the point tapers down to about half that size. I will even through these in my rotary tool (dremel) and use them for fine work. I have been using the same one for cutting wood almost every day for 2 months and I have not noticed any issues with it yet. I still have a cut on my hand from lightly grazing this bit with the CNC turned off. Great quality all around!

I was a little concerned about the small size of these cutters, but they end up cutting great in softwood and corian. Can't beat them for the price.I will buy more cutters from SpeTools.
