I’m an oboist and my current instrument loves to collect water in the keys more than any other I have owned. These things are amazing because they collect a large amount of water without tearing, dry quickly, and are reusable. If I have a key that really is water logged, I’ll leave a dry one under the pad overnight and it helps dry it out. Can’t say enough good about such a small little product.

This gets limp rather quickly, and then it's more difficult to use.

Doesn't have much impact on the moisture issue it's meant to solve. It's also fidly. A better solution is to keep flutes somewhere warm and dry, like an airing cupboard, between plays. That leads to much faster, and better drying.
