My granddaughter loves to compete with her cousin in creating leprechaun traps every St Patrick's day. Her traps get more elaborate each year, but has yet to work. I saw the RGJ St Patrick's Day Leprechaun Trap Kit for Kids and thought this would be a fun construction project for her and her sister. I reviewed the kit contents, and it's great - from the instructions, to the painted parts provided, to the 'leprechaun gold' coins that serve as bait for the unlucky leprechaun. I'm saving this to give to her closer to St Patrick's Day, but from what I'm seeing, this will be a great hit at her house! A side benefit is her Mom and Dad will have a smaller mess to clean up after her leprechaun catching efforts! 5 stars for a cute kit that's sure to please!

I love that this trap kit is made of wood, making it more durable than some other options. It takes about 15 minutes for a parent to assemble, but once it’s ready, the fun for kids is endless! The design is cute and simple to decorate, and you can easily add stickers or other decorations to personalize it. Great value for the price since it includes everything you need. Would definitely recommend for a fun St. Patrick’s Day activity!

Fun for the kids and easy to build with the cardstock, die cut and perforated, ready for assembly. Little ones will need help with the set up, but according to our six year old, we needed to have a leprechaun trap.

Pieces do NOT connect, they arrive bent and in bad shape!!! Do NOT BUY!

This was fun to build with my daughter but also terrible to put together. The pieces come apart easily and I spent a solid 20 minutes trying to keep the base together with glue and tape. The cage and decorations were much easier. The little hooks that hold the cage are a pain to put in and they go flying whenever we use the trap so keep an eye out for them. Directions lacked. Worst case my daughter will take the "treasure" and use it for other games.

The concept of the Leprechaun trap is really fun for St. Patrick’s Day, and the kids enjoyed putting it together. However, the instructions could be clearer, and some pieces didn’t fit together as well as expected. Still a good craft project for a festive activity, but could use a little refinement.

My kids are getting a little older now but still enjoy setting up the leprechaun trap each year. We've gone the cheap route by using a cereal box propped up with a toothpick before but when I saw this I figured they'd enjoy building it. I like the brightly colored accessories that come with it and the fact that it comes with a bunch of the "gold" coins. I ordered a Leprechaun Funko pop to "catch" too.

Wooden leprechaun trap, that is already painted and comes with everything you need. However you need to put it together, and see image for the directions given. Not sure this will be doable for kids under 8..
