I’ve used this false bottom on three batches of beer so far. It is extremely sturdy and easy to clean after the mash. This is a great buy when compared to the price of similar products. Also, fits perfectly in the bottom of a 10 gal “igloo†type cooler.

Works perfectly.I replaced a 3" high false bottom in my mash tun pot with this one. This one is 12" diameter. My mash tun is 20" diameter. I was concerned that because it didn't fit all the way to the inside wall of the pot it would fail to pick up all the wort. Turned out not to be a problem.The original false bottom left about 2 gals of wort in the pot. I'd have to tip the pot to get what remained. Don't have to do that with this one. After draining the wort, I let it stand for another 10-15 mins (while the boil pot is heating up). Drain another 1/2 - 1 gal of wort.There are at least a 1/2 dozen different sellers of this style false bottom just on Amazon. I chose this one because most of the other sellers had poor reviews due to missing parts. This one did not. I received it quickly and with all the parts.Would I buy this again? Yup.Would I recommend it and the seller? Yup.Any Cons? None that would make me reduce my rating. There were a couple sharp edges around the outside circumference. There was a caution not included in the package that also mentioned this. I took a small piece of sand paper to it.

Reasonably inexpensive. Had to file off the sharp edges: -1 star.Have used this twice now - infusion mash up to ~17#. Works as expected. Good efficiency. 5-gal Igloo cooler and a Lowe's Special - 1/2" FPT PVC valve, 1/2" MPT barb, and a 1/2" MPT right angle barb outside. And an O-ring. And some 3/8" hose. Couldn't see spending any more to brew Scotch Ale.

Great false bottom. Fits in my keggle perfectly, and fit the bottom of my previous 10 gallon cooler mash tun. I've got great efficiency using this and minimal dead space

Works perfect in my 10 gallon igloo. No complaints at all. I have now done about 15 batches using this false bottom and I have to say it has worked perfectly. Totally easily to clean and works like a dream.

Good quality. I use this in five gallon igloo-type beverage cooler for mash tun. Connected the right angle barb in center of false bottom to the ball valve with silicone tubing. I also slit a length tubing and lined circular edge of screen to aid in forming a seal. Work fine, dome shape does not collapse under the weight of the grain.

Perfect for my 10-gallon Igloo cooler mash tun. The package came with everything shown and is ready to hook up to my outlet valve. I ordered and received a transfer tube with adapter from HomeBrewStuff, and the items match perfectly. The Home Depot version of the 10-gallon cooler is approximately 12.5" in diameter, so I took a 37.5" piece of 3/8 clear poly hose, slit it down the middle on one side, and slid it around the circumference of the false bottom. That makes a perfect fit!

This false bottom is okay but I had to make a small modification. It fits very loosely in an Igloo 10 gallon cooler, so I took some advice from another reviewer and added a clear vinyl ring by cutting tubing and fitting it on to the (sharp) bottom edge. Fits much better now and will not scratch the inside of the cooler.
