It may be stainless steel, but the material is lightweight, it’s poorly built with the rings not even attached in places, and it’s hard to imagine it holding up under use. Mine arrived in a plastic envelope and was broken. Amazon promptly refunded my money without requiring return.

I home can a lot and this rack has been exactly what I needed... before, taking out 1 can at a time out of the Pressure cooker often caused the ones left to fall down, with the rack, you can raise all finished cans out of the pressure cooker at once. This rack is a must!

This basket is labeled stainless steel, and shouldn't rust. I just got mine and I love the flat bottom for placing jars in my canner, and the handles are nice for lifting the basket out of the canner, the handles rest on the top edge of the canner to unload the jars.

The holder is sturdy and hangs great on our pot. Only issue we have is if the rack is not 100% full the jars have a tendency to fall over. We put empty jars in to help keep other jars up on our small batch rounds
