These tongs work great for picking up food, and I even use them for turning items while frying. I really like that they have a clasp to keep them closed when not in use, making them easy to store. Overall, they’re very practical and handy.

I bought others but they were either thin metal and would twist while using or bend at the hinge or in the middle, or the inner seam of the arms would catch the scrubby side of the sponge when you would hand wash them, or if you put them into the dishwasher, they would rust, or they would have cheap flat metal springs or thin wire springs that would rust or break after a month or two.These have handles that are bigger and thicker, don't have the inner seam that is tight and grabs the sponge, the spring in the handle is a thicker wire and the hinge has got a thicker rivet and is more robust.They just feel heavier and have a good quality feel to them for their price point.In the pictures you can see the difference between another pair that are better quality then some but not quite as good as these. There is the size difference of the handles, the difference of a coil spring and a flat spring, the hinge and rivet difference (the cheaper ones you can see they are starting to bend and twist), and how the inner seam grabs the scouring pad of the sponge.

First impression was thin cheap metal. I probably can't complain at the price point. Simple design. I will update my review as needed.

You get what you pay for. I was attracted to the all metal design, but I found myself getting annoyed with the rectangular “keeper†due to it sliding. I personally much prefer the kind where you pull from the end to keep them closed. Good value, but cheaply made.

I don't like those tongs with the weird little pully piece used to free or close them. I wanted basic old school tongs with the metal bracket that are used to open or close for storage. Fits the bill exactly!!! 3 different sizes are nice too!

I like the different lengths. When I am cooking in the oven I can use these and not have my hand so close to the heat and I do not have to worry about my utensil melting either. I do like the locking in place mechanism as well. Great bargain.

Bought as a gift. The recipient likes them. They are indeed flimsy as mentioned in other reviews, but the thin metal makes them very agile in serving mode, which is the purpose intended. Cannot be washed in a dishwasher. There are two different metals used to construct the tongs, and the dishwasher detergent would corrode the stainless steel through electrolysis, accelerated by the high temperature. Wash by hand.

I bought this set and they are light weight and cheap feeling, there is also a square ring thing that keeps the tongs together which within a week went rusty and leaves a white residue.Would not recommend these.

Sharp edges that pinch hand when using if not careful. Finally had to throw them away when I reached into the draw and the sharp edge sliced my finger open.Also quite rickety, they bent out of shape easily.Finally, the collar was not stainless steel, so it rusted.
