Without a metallurgical analysis (or ever afterwards) I can't tell you the actual technical properties but it is steel and springy without any rust. Since all I wanted was steel and springy without rust, this was 100% a successful purchase.

I still need spring wire as this was to small and 6ga is too large. the wire for it's size is fine.
