This is the best opener I have ever used in my 50+ years of drinking wine! I have tried many kinds of bottle openers -- manual and electric; I prefer manual. Many of the manual openers were not much better than the classic opener, and some were worse. Some similar to this model broke quickly. So, I was very pleasantly surprised when I first tried this corkscrew with the ease of operation -- both opening the bottle and dispensing of the cork. Great product!

I have used ScrewPull openers for years and wore two of them out, but could not find one without plastic parts so I tried this unit. I read a lot of the negative reviews and saw many complaints about how difficult it was to operate. The problem occurs either before the screw is pushed into the cork (the lever will not come open), or afterwards, when it sticks in the closed position so that it is difficult to get the cork off the screw. Both issues have the same solution. Just turn the opener upside down and it releases the lever if it has become stuck in the closed position. This is a sturdy and smoothly operating unit that I think will last for years to come.

This is an early review since I have had this opener for only a month, but I am impressed. Having bought many "rabbit" type over the years I know that some last for 4 or 5 years and some not that long. My last rabbit broke while taking out a cork because the metal part of the opener does not go all the way to the end of the plastic handle. ergo the metal does not break, but the plastic does. This is not a new issue with this type since the entire opener is stainless steel, and is heavier and therefore sturdier than the plastic/metal types.I am also impressed with the very efficient foil opener. Thus far a very good opener.An update after using for last 6 month. A terrific opener. Looks a bit more clunky than the traditional rabbits, but that's because it has some heft to it;

Plonk - floooooom - pop! Takes only a long as that to uncork a bottle. So satisfying is disappointing that so many wines are screw-caps 🤷ðŸ¼â€â™‚ï¸

Bought this Keissco opener in Jun/2020 (now Feb/2021) from Amazon.ca seller Cute Cooking Store for CAD$36. It is heavy and comes in a fancy box and well-packaged.5-stars for sturdiness, ease of use, and overall! I've been looking at numerous different openers over the past several years, and after much research, I decided this was the best one to try. After using this at least 15 times, I can confirm this is an excellent, easy to use opener, and hopefully it will last many more bottles.Read the instructions and you won't have any problems. Just cut the foil to reveal the cork, you can use the included cutter or not, then open the puller so the corkscrew is at the highest position, center the opener on the bottle and squeeze hard on the grips while pushing down on the handle, and while still squeezing on the grips, pull the handle up. Just clamp, push down, pull up - if you're fast, you can literally do this in 2 seconds. Then just spin the cork off the non-stick corkscrew easily and it's ready to go again.I'll come back to edit this review after I open a lot more bottles to see how well it stands the test of time and heavier usage. 5-stars for now!
