I got these stair tread carpet pieces to replace some older carpet that was falling apart. The colors and pattern worked well in my older house with dark woodwork. The carpet pieces have a rubberized backing to reduce slipping as you walk up and down stairs. I do find that I have to reposition them once in a while, but overall they work very nicely. This are much nicer for cleaning, you can use lift these up to use a broom on the stairs and a vacuum on these carpet pieces. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Love everything about them with one major exception, they don't stay in place on our wood treads "slight movement". We have had them on stairs now for a few days, and adhesion has improved a little but still having to readjust after using stairs. Not sure if it's because we keep our house at 68 degrees in winter, and they need more warmth for the rubber to stick better. For now, we are contemplating keeping or returning, so 4* might be generous.

I needed something to help my little Frenchie puppy get down the 2 stairs from our family room. Our wood floors are too slick and he could never get his footing so he was too afraid to come out of the room (or go up into the room). It was getting annoying and I felt bad for the little guy, so started looking for something to help. Found these and they were exactly what I needed! The panels are a little too narrow width-wise because the the steps are weirdly wide, but I just overlaid 2 on the center step and it worked fine. Doens't look the nicest, but they match the color of the wood, and when it's just us at the house, that's fine. The little dog can easily go up and down the steps now and he is losing his fear of stairs! They are non-slip, so even with a 5 year old boy and a pitbull constantly running up and down the hall, they stay in place. These were a great find and would also be good for children or elderly adults who may slip on the stairs. My pitbull is aging and has joint issues, so I may end up getting a few more sets of these for our main staircase so that she doesn't slip and break a hip.

My wife wanted something to protect our new oak steps. I search Amazon and without asking her, I ordered a set of these in gray. The package contains 15 tread covers. We have a split foyer with 14 treads. This worked out perfectly, covering each tread plus the floor immediately before the first step. When they arrived, I tossed a few down on the upper steps. Unlike so many other things at Amazon, they covered the steps pretty much as they did in the photos.I called the wife over and asked her to grab something for me on the foyer. As she walked back up, she stopped and said, “They’re perfect!†She went to the bedroom and brought back a paint chip from the paint store. The paint was to do the wainscotting. She held the chip against the shade of gray I had picked and was a great match! I told her that I knew they were a match. Of course, she knew better. The past few weeks, Amazon has been good to me, making look a hero in my wife’s and kids’ eyes.I gave these 5 stars because my wife loves them. They are well made, a nice design, and they are not a trip or slip hazard.

Leading down into our unfinished basement are unattractive plywood stairs with two landings. So, when I saw this nice stable landing mat on the Amazon site, I decided to order and give it a try.Features: 1) The seller offers this product for wooden landings and stairs in a 29 x 29 landing mat and 30 x 8 stair mats. I ordered the 29 x 29 landing mat, which is offered one to a box. 2) The landing mat's rubber backing holds it in place and prevents it from moving or slipping when walked on. Note: We are constantly going up and down these stairs. So, we have given this product a good workout. I am very impressed with the comfort and how well it stays in place. 3) The landing and stair mats are available in 5 colors, I chose the beige. 4) The mat is stready, stable and soft to the touch. The mat provides a comfortable support for stepping and walking. 5) The mat is surrounded by a soft secure border, which also has the rubber backing. 6) The mat can be vacuumed, swepted and spot cleaned.Fabric: Per the seller, the material is a thickened linen carpet.I am very pleased with this 5 star landing and recommend giving it a try. It has made walking/stepping onto our plywood landing comfortable and safer than before. Plus, the mat is quite attractive and easy to care for.

I selected these non-slip stair treads after comparison shopping around Amazon to see what others like them could offer and for what price. These seemed to be the best value over those that cost maybe half as much because they were supposed to stay in place. Only, they don't stay entirely in place. The beige pattern is attractive (and common). I appreciate that it looks a bit like sisal without the scratchiness and difficulty in cleaning. These are soft and give a little padding to the stairs, which is appreciated on a main staircase. But the area where these stood out from the competition was in the description of their non-slip stickiness. I can't speak to other treads, but these are not particularly sticky. They do have a decent grip thanks to the rubberized backing and they don't slide around my stairs when we walk on them (as the others were reviewed to do), but they do move enough to have to be repositioned at least once a day. It's not enough to be a trip hazard with a mat hanging over a stair, but I plan to rectify the situation with carpet tape to prevent that from becoming the case. For the higher price ($89.99, and even with the current 30% off coupon), this is a disappointment -- if carpet tape is going to be needed anyway, you may consider looking at other treads available for much less before choosing these. That said, there is something to be said for this vendor's efforts to use a rubberized backing and not just a flimsy layer of sticky adhesive (that apparently doesn't stick), as others in the market did. These are not bargain-basement treads and as such, I would expect them to be more durable over time. That does count for something.
