This is hard item to find it seems but once again Amazon provided exactly what was needed...easy to put on and has been getting the job done as far as sealing the stove down...without using any other adhesive btw...great price too!

Once you have measured the size of the tape you need for your stove, you have accomplished the hardest task of using this gasket material. It's well made (nicely woven) and is very easy to apply thanks to the use of 3M adhesive strip on the backside of the tape. Simply cut to size, remove backing and press the gasket material into place...that's it. You will get better results if you clean the area before applying the gasket and it's possible that it might come loose, in those cases, just use a little gasket cement to reattach the part that came loose.I find I'm replacing different size gaskets on my woodstove every couple of years. Most of them I've used before had no backing adhesive and replacing worn gaskets could be a pain. I did the feed door on the side of my stove with this material and I was done in 15 minutes, which included removing the old torn gasket, cleaning the joint and installing the new gasket strip. As you might imagine, am very pleased with the speed and ease of installation.

The 5/8 x 3/8 flat tape fits perfectly in a LOPI 3/4in x 1/4in channel, almost identical to factory. Not sure how the double sided adhesive tape works with the 2000F ceramic Rutland silicate cement, but I used the cement anyways.USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN CUTTING. THE FIBERS RELEASE INTO THE AIR AND WILL INJURE YOUR SINUS, THROAT, LUNGS, ETC. WEAR A MASK AND CUT NEAR A RUNNING VACUUM.

Very poor quality. Not as advertised. Using this seal would be dangerous because there are too many gaps and the product is not self-adhesive. What I received almost looks like a damaged item that someone else returned and resold to me.

The old gasket came loose and was falling off. I cleaned all the old glue off. Wiped down the channel well. Applied this gasket. Seem to stick well until the third day. Just fell off.

y My stove is needed a new gasket around the door for ages. I never really knew what it was called though so I had a hard time trying to find something like this to buy. I saw this on Amazon and I immediately grabbed it up. It seems to be holding well so farThis gasket is a lot simpler to use compared to the standard gaskets that has an epoxy that you have to apply first. You just cut this to size, and stick it onto your door or window gasket of your wood stove. I did this while my stove was hot and it immediately stuck. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it has no signs of wanting to come off.The only issue I've had with it is where you cut it, it seems to fray quite a bit. It's not a major issue, it just looks ugly more than anything and a few loose strands do come out. Overall, I'm happy with the ease of use with this gasket. If you need to replace your gasket on your wood stove, or if this is your first wood stove and you need a gasket, this is a solid option. It's so easy to use that even a novice can use it without issue.
